The Movie Perfume.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0396171/

I hate and loath everything about that movie. Only movie I've ever actually want a refund for. My incredible Batman complex (i.e. PUNISH THE VILLAIN) probably didn't help, but overall, I gave so many what the fuck looks to my wife during it at what was happening on screen.

The Princess and the Pilot.

I saw it at a local animation festival. It was the second year I had attended said festival. The previous year, they had shown Redline (the greatest anime movie ever) and Summer Wars, so I really thought highly of them. Then this movie came onto the screen, and . . .

Good god.

Take every stupid anime cliche (I can't do accents) and put it into a movie, and you have TPatP.

Two warring nations with no distinguishable features? Check.
A downtrodden protagonist from the lower class who had amazing skills? Check.
Military academy bullies from the upper class? Check.
Said downtrodden protagonist from the lower class is the only one they can trust with the mission? Check.
The mission involves the princess spending long periods alone with the protagonist en route to her destination? Check.
The princess doesn't want to marry her prince? Check.

And I'm aware that following a formula isn't a bad thing if the movie wants to concentrate on other aspects, like action or worldbuilding. But, shit. This movie had totally average animation, a superbly mediocre script, painfully bland characters . . .

It didn't even take any chances, either. Okay, so, at one point, the hero and the princess are being tailed by this incredibly determined enemy pilot, who has become obsessed with them due to being outmanoeuvred earlier in the movie, despite having a superior plane. They fend him off by a hair's breadth, and the two planes pull alongside each other so that the pilots can look each other in the eye.

I was honestly expecting the enemy pilot to fly his plane into the ocean - you know, underscoring the whole "horrors of war" thing? Senseless death over honour and military creed, that sort of thing?

Nothing happens. He flies back to base and tells no-one about it.

Wasted 10$ and two hours of my life on that film.

Scott Pilgrim.

Easily one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen.
God, this. All the characters in that movie were unlikable cunts except for Wallace.

I don't think there is any movie that I regret watching, everything is worth a shot atleast.. I do however deeply regret that I re-watched Watership Down because of some thread here on the Escapist.. It broke me down in ways I never thought imaginable..
I really like the movie but, damn, it scarred me as a child and I stand by that it made me cry when I watched it again this winter.

Should I recomend you Plague Dogs? I havent watched Watership Down yet but they do seem to follow the same line. Its by the same guys too. While the film is also depressing I think that its worth it.
I hate you for that! I was a kid when that came out and I can't listen to the song "Bright Eyes" without collapsing in the fetal position and rocking gently in terror.

Eragon

It was botched so bad that they wouldn't be able to make the sequels.

I actually saw it when it was in theaters, looking back, I should have asked for my money back, but I was in such shock at the time, I must not have had the mind to do it.

If I had, I probably would have asked for double my money back, because they should have at least paid me for the time of my life that that movie wasted.

Seriously, one of the worst book to movie adaptions ever made, especially in the main story points and in art and costume direction. Also, if I had the power, I would make it so that the director would never work in the movie industry ever again.

I can tell when a movie is bad enough to stop watching (and I usually enjoy So-Bad-It's-Good movies, so I guess those don't count), but I managed to sit through Daddy Day Camp one bored afternoon. I think my brain died during it, I don't remember anything...

None.

I never regretted seeing a film. All the bad ones I've seen I usually forget I saw them or find them hilarious. Some like The Last Airbender or Dragonball Evolution I felt sort of obligated to watch since I've seen the original source material, and as bad as they were, I didn't think they ruined the shows.

So, um, yeah. I've got nothing. But movies I would've regretted watching would probably be the Clannad movie. Thank god I saw it after watching the anime or else it would've probably ruined the show for me.

Shelter
Started out as an interesting psychological thriller, devolved into plain stupid. All the talk about whether the characters believe in God should have been a warning to me. The two main characters do a complete 180 and the plot doesn't hold up even with it's own logic.

Starship Troopers 2 (2004) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367093/

Completely fucked up what made the 1st one so good. I haven't seen the 3rd one, nor do I want to.

Spawn (1997) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120177/

What a shit movie! Some of the "special effects" looked worse than N64 graphics!

That's my top two least favourite movies that I have seen. I know there are definitely worse out there but I haven't seen them so yeah...these are the ones I regret watching the most.

A serbian film, i can "get" the fact about how it symbolizes the pain suffered from the group of people who've beeen abused, disenfranchised and spat at.

But that movie didn't really make me hark at the cause.

and human catterpillar. Piece of S.
I'm literally laughing at the concept of the human caterpillar... That should be made into a film I swear.
You laugh at me, but gaze yee at your demise and quake in fear!

"Napoleon Dynamite", "Dan in Real Life" and "Bablyon A.D".The latter two you would actually have to pay me a significant amount of money to re-watch, absolutley awful.

EDIT: And the "Eragon" movie (Just saw someone else mention it). I saw it a year or two after reading the book...and it seemed to bastardise the book and ruined it for me.

Also, the whole "This is a diary of our own molestation by the Serbian government... It's about the monolithic power of leaders who hypnotize you to do things you don't want to do. You have to feel the violence to know what it's about." Is fucking bullshit, Its purely for shock value, nothing more, nothing less.
I wouldn't be so sure to dismiss it out of hand - the Serbs have been making... "controversial" arthouse flicks for decades now, even while still under the yoke of their socialist dictator Tito.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_Movie

Plus, its not like the political message of a Serbian film is never hinted at during the movie (all the talk about "victimhood" as the last remaining Serbian commodity; the wife mentions that "Vukmir" sounds like the name of someone who's on trial for war crimes in The Hague; Vukmir is a trained psychologist, like the real-life Serb war criminal Karadzic...)

See Brows Held High for a pretty information-heavy, unbiased review of the movie

The Eragon Movie: This film took a mediocre novel and did everything they could to make it terrible. At least I got to watch it with friends and we had a blast riffing on it.
I liked the Eragon novels, but I agree the movie was absolutely atrocious.

Also, Kenshin is the shit.

Drag Me to Hell
I know a lot of people liked that movie but to me it seemed to truly live up to its name.

That movie made me fall asleep.

Dicks. That is all.
