The two Sherlock Holmes movies by Guy Ritchie. Come to think of it, every episode of the BBC series Sherlock also, I guess those can count as films.
Furthermore, Boondock Saints, The Prestige and Les Sous-Doués. It's french and the dvd I own doesn't have subtitles, but I'll be damned if it isn't the ultimate feel-good movie.

I watched Stalker, Solaris(the original Russian one) and 2001 when crazy feverish last year, it was really serene and meditative being lost to the world like that and watching those movies, I think it would be cool for me to be in that state forever.
I'd say The Ninth Gate, the first Jurassic Park, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Cloud Atlas.

I'm something of a Spielberg fan, in any case. I'll even watch downers like Schindler's List if the only alternative is one of my father's dubious Woody Allen comedies.

The Secret of NIMH and the first three Tremors movies. I've loved them all ever since I was a kid and I could watch them over and over again without ever getting tired of them.
lord of the rings and star wars... all of them

I used to watch Spaceballs a few times a day. Holy hell is that movie funny. In fact: Note to Self: find and acquire Spaceballs DVD. The old tape that I have it on is so worn out ;-;
I used to watch Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure on at least a weekly basis. That and the sequel. I doubt it's ever going to be as good as I remember it to be if I went back and watched it again. Lol Nostalgia Goggles.
While not a film, this is on permanent repeat forever. The way they introduce Naoto at the end is just so cool.

I'm sad. I read "John Dies At The End", then watched the movie. I found the movie just terrible. Not even in terms of a book to movie title, but just as a movie in general. I would have loved a better adaptation, even if the movie had to be split into multiple parts. Oh well, back to "This Book is Filled With Spiders." xDLt._nefarious said:

OMG, Just finished "This Book is Filled With Spiders."! It's so good and, I don't know about you, while it wasn't quite as hilarious (still hilarious though) as JDatE it scares the shit out me. Well JDatE scared me as well but, and I won't spoil it if you're not far through, "This Book is Filled With Spiders." has some scary ass moments. Like it gave me nightmares.SaetonChapelle said:
I watched the original Star Wars movies so much as a kid that I almost wore down my VHS tapes. I used to be able to watch them on repeat all the time. Especially Empire Strikes back, which has always been my absolute favorite Star Wars movie.
It got to the point where if I were listening to just the soundtrack from the movies I could tell you exactly what scene it was from, what was happening in that scene and what the characters were saying.
Another movie I watched to death as a kid was Secret of NIMH. I absolutely love that movie, even today. I recently got a Blu-Ray copy of the movie and watched it. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as I remember it being from when I was a kid, but it's even better now that I'm older and can pick up on more things.
