Overpriced game on an overpriced smart phone with an overpriced service plan? No thanks. I think I'll run instead.

I really need to play this again. It was pretty fun and unique despite the annoying difficulty curve and rarity of Phoenix Downs. Loved using Toad and Mini to go in areas, it was a really interesting handicap that I wish would be used again.
The amount of phoenix downs were really a positive because they were only common enough to prevent revival exploits. I definitely agree the imposed handicap areas were the best. The few difficulty jumps that required 4+ hours of grinding to not get killed by basic dungeon creatures made the game bullshit and non-replayable compared to any other game IMO.

The worst areas of grinding and general unfriendliness to those new to RPGs (it really relies on the hope that anyone playing has played many RPGs or has read up on the game) makes me question the choice of releasing this game to iOS devices.

Despite your assertions that there will be Chibz, I am currently disappointed with the overall lack of Chibz in this thread.

OT: For some odd reason, I went over to the App Store to take a look, and ended up buying The Shining Force. Developed and published by SEGA, and entirely irrelevant. :S

I've heard of poor reading comprehension.

But poor show comprehension is something entirely new to me.
Satirical reference: Missed.

Final Fantasy iiiOS seems more like a last attempt at getting some money than drawing new players in. The "3" at the end makes some people think it's a direct sequel so they'll need to play the other 2 Final Fantasy games, and I don't know anyone that's willing to spend $15 plus the rest for the other Final Fantasy games, just so they can play this.

I'm quite disappointed by this as well. My powers of clairvoyance aren't as strong as I thought.

Clearly my efforts to frame you have failed.
Damn it, I swear I fixed that.

Holy crap, the game looks much better than on the DS! If it weren't for the price tag, I'd totally buy it. I'll be watching this for when the time comes to slash the price.

Final Fantasy III...the only RPG to make me throw my DS.
Oh, it is an amazing romp...but goddamn some of those boss fights are retarded. Couple that with long stretches where you can't save leading up to those fights and...ugh.

I probably won't buy it, seeing I still own my copy of FFIII for the DS, but it's still a heck of a lot of fun. =3
I could say exactly this... except when I bought it (On Ebay. Yes, stupid) it never arrived.

You know what's horrible? I now have a very, very good reason to buy an iPhone. Damn it.

so.... buy this game because we made the rest of our catalogue cheaper? Well tbh I havent played FF3/6 sO I prob will :D
This is the actuall FF3, and NOT the one that was called 3 in the US but was actually 6.

FF3 is an okey game, but it is by far not the epic game FF6 is.

PS: FF6 is one of my favorite FF games :)

Don't get Hills and Rivers.
I got it last time it was on sale, and let's just put it this way... After you beat the extremely short and easy campaign, most of the story is contained in "Free Mode" which contains dozens of maps completing the story... two for $.99. You have to pay in free mode to experience the story, when there's a story mode. WTF?

How funny!
I don't have a DS and have been looking for something more interesting than sudoku to play on the train. This will probably actually suit me perfectly, considering I'm a little bit of an FF fangirl ^^ how amusing!!
