Because of my childhood- Final Fantasy III still means Final Fantasy VI.

I had a huge surge of excitement followed by an extreme decline from disappointment

I swear, if it had been FF VI I would have been so pissed that I would have re-voted for Blizzard.

I wonder if they'll fix the horrific difficulty spike at the end of the game. Where it expects you to:

Climb the crystal tower
Defeat Xande
Defeat 4 extra bosses in the World of Darkness
Defeat the Cloud of Darkness

All without suffering a party wipe. And no saves. In a game where party wipes can easily happen due to boss mechanics.

I hope someone has corrected you before you made a purchase thinking this was FF6, cause this isn't the fabled Final Fantasy 6, legendary and arguably among the best FF titles Squaresoft/Square-Enix ever released. No, that was originally called Final Fantasy 3 in the us when it came out on the SNES (I still have my cart too), but later retconned to Final Fantasy 6. This is actually Final Fantasy 3- the real FF3.

I'm not saying don't buy the game. I'm sure it's very fun. Just don't buy it thinking it's the legendary Final Fantasy 6.

OP: I bought Secret of Mana on sale. I loved that game when I was a child. ;_; Love it still. I'm sad to see Square-ENIX trying to capitalize on the lost golden age of their former years (I haven't seen many Enix games of old getting the remaster treatment- none I'm aware of anyway). But at the same time, I'm pleased to get to handle a graphically remastered version of one of my favorite games in my childhood.

I owned the game before I owned a SNES. :3

I haven't seen any go to the apple store/itunes. Then again, I'm not in any hurry for those. I played the hell out of Dragon Warrior 4 back in the day. That was a great game.

Wha? Did you just say the opposite of what you mean or something? The original is the FAR better version of FF:T. The GBA version was kinda lame.

OP: If I had an iPhone, or even a cell phone, I might care. As it stands I'd ask Square to release it for PSP, but I doubt that would happen.

I'm still waiting for the FFT iOS release. It was supposed to come in September and got delayed to Spring 2011... still no exact date. Where is my FFT Squenix? Please bring it soon
