Not far but if you want to do some quick leveling use a mimic(if i remeber the right materia) on the basilisk thats in the desert get his ultimate attack(it can be easy or hard depending on your luck) and go to junon in a back alley that has a red light constantley flashing were all the enemies are really high level and you should only need to use that attack once to take them out. You can get up about 10 levels in an hour if you haven't been leveling a lot.

What's a high level in the game? I'm level 17 on Cloud. How far am I into the game, based on my level?

You are in the very beginning and have a long ways to go. Level 99 is the highest level in the game and after level 50, it gets a little harder to level up.

Yep, flattery gets you everywhere with Yuffie. I never used her or Cait Sith though.

Stuck to Tifa and Aeris until, you know, and then Tifa and Vincent or Barret the rest of the way.

She has one of the few weapons that can still do 9999 damage when using the morph command. Vincents ultimate does full damage with morph as well.

What the hell? You actually grinded that hard in Midgar? I was level 14 when I left.

I like to Blade Beam the Air Buster and Meteorain Reno.

Right on, I can support that. Plus it makes the rest of the game a hell of a lot easier if you have Meteorain and Finishing touch that early on. Do you use the Hyper item to induce Fury status and then fight the Hell Houses?

I only got to level 70 or so. Leveling up after that seemed very tedious.

It's been a while since I've played (years) so... Not certain. I do remember I took the elevator in Shinra tower and that gave me a load.

And I *think* I used Cid and Barret as my final team, or Red and Cid. I liked Cid.

I never got Level 4 limits though (yeah, I wasn't that good ) so...

i remember beating the game at level 60. but continuing on to level 99. i'd say if you're still in Midgar then you're about anywhere from 0 to a 1/10 of the way through the game.

I think it was because i dident unlock the limit breaks before it when i played it on ps1 i used to swap the party around all the time apart for cloud that is

you mean nanaki? idk.. i prefer vincent and yuffie... mostly because they are the only two extra characters. not required for the story.

level 17. you should be somewhere towards the end of the first disk at a push. though i'd have levelled way beyond that by then. so unless you're not very far in... start levelling up now!

Hah, yeah. Hell Houses for building up the Limit gauge, and the enemy groups a screen or two south from Aerith's house for building up a kill count.

Usually end up with tier 2 magic either in Midgar or at least before Fort Condor too.

That's a bit too hardcore for me, I just tend to get the shit as I progress. I rarely set out to gain new limit breaks. Except for the Tier 4 limits. That is a must for me.
