Creator/Organizer at first try. Creator/Persuader at second.

Somewhat correct, though I do't see my self as the romantic leader, but rather as an eccentric problem solver.

I have some complaints about the test. First of all, I didn't really appreciate the specific nuances used for the specific colours. The green was to cold, the lime-green was too yellow and the magenta was too warm.

Secondly, the variety of colours and various nuances was to small. I would've liked to see more tones of blue, for example. Is hot pink, salmon or deep cerise your preferred shade of pink? Do you prefer the green you see on olives over the green you see on stop lights?

Another thing, the test should've also asked what we associate the different colours with. Do you think of romance, aggression or comfort when seeing the colour red? Is blue to you, a colour of tranquillity, callousness or logic?

Lastly, it would've also helped if test checked what colour combination pleases the eyes in question most/least. I, for one, consider black-orange to be a superior combo to black-yellow.

Well here's what I got...<.<

Best Occupational Category
You're a CREATOR
KEYWORDS
Nonconforming, Impulsive, Expressive, Romantic, Intuitive, Sensitive, and Emotional
These original types place a high value on self-expression. They enjoy working independently, being creative, using their imagination, and constantly learning something new. Areas of interest are far beyond the expected fields of art, drama, music, and writing. There are many occupations that allow creators to express, assemble, or implement ideas and maximize resources.
CREATOR OCCUPATIONS
Typical ?Creators? function best in occupations where they have the autonomy to be original. It?s essential. In fact, your best career is mostly about your workplace environment. For Example, Educational careers, Corporate Trainer, Author, Editor, have constant demands for new perspectives or better methods. Without flexibility, however these careers are a not a good fit. Careers that typically have these qualities, but not always, are Advertising Executive, Architect, Web Designer, Creative Director, Public Relations, Fine or Commercial Artist, Interior Decorator, Lawyer, Librarian, Musician, Reporter, Art Teacher, Broadcaster, Technical Writer, English Teacher, Architect, Photographer, Medical Illustrator, , Landscape Architect, Exhibit Builder, and Package Designer.
CREATOR WORKPLACES
Unstructured, flexible organizations that allow self-expression work best with this free-spirited type. Ironically, professions that appear to be ?Creative? can inhibit self-expression. Those that seem overly structured like Tax Assessor can actually offer the latitude to make a difference. Most enjoyable workplaces allow for self-expression with the capability to improve the status quo.
Don?t be befuddled by the word ?Creative.? Creator workplaces are much broader that the ?Typical Creative Careers? like interior decorating firms; artistic studios, theaters and concert halls; institutions that teach crafts, universities, music, and dance schools. In order to see your best recommendation, check out the Color Career Indictor 4.0 for actual occupational listing.

2nd Best Occupational Category
You're a SOCIAL MANAGER
KEYWORDS:
Tactful, Cooperative, Generous, Understanding, Insightful, Friendly, and Cheerful
This very social type enjoys working in groups, sharing responsibilities, and being the center of attention. Fields of interest are instructing, helping, nurturing, care giving and instructing-especially young people. They discuss and consider feelings in order to solve problems, lead, direct, persuade, guide, organize and enlighten others.

SECTION I: YOU AND YOUR TEAM
This personality overview section highlights your natural workplace talentsشhe tasks you pursue with passion. You'll learn how your natural strengths complement those of your coworkers and how, joining forces, you can resolve on-the-job dilemmas.
SECTION II: YOUR KEY TO SUCCESS
Here you discover your capacity for dispelling disruption and maximizing profitability. Use this proven, beyond-self-perception advice to create a more positive career path free of detours.
SECTION III: MANAGING STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Your evaluation's highest and lowest scores result in this section's recommendations for staying on-track in your career and reversing wrong turns. In focusing on your talents and missteps, you'll re-stoke your energy and enthusiasm for managing costly mistakes.
SECTION IV: LEADERSHIP POWER MOVES
This final section identifies your "street sense," those power moves that turn obstacles into insignificant details. Here suggestions based on your color-ranked evaluations will guide you towards making the most of an interview or harnessing your fast-paced workday.

It's actually pretty much spot on... I'm some where in between the two... I like working creatively... but at the same time I can't work effectively unless I'm in a group...<.<

Find my perfect career by choosing colours? This has nothing to do with BioWare, does it?

In other news, I'm a Creator.

Well, I'm convinced by my results that either this test is shit or I'm losing my fucking mind. I got Creator and Persuader, but the thing is that I'm not good at anything either of those things told me I was. So i'm, infact, a complete polar opposite of what I think I am. Please excuse me while I have an existential crisis.

Pfft, what rubbish. I got creator and persuader, saying I am creative, artistic, sociable and a good leader. I don't think it could be more wrong.

I guess. I just picked half the colours at random. I'm not very good with colour preference tests... each can be interesting in its own way.

Best: Creator
2nd Best: Organizer

My job: Design Engineer

I agree this is essentially a horoscope, but whatever psycho-pseudo-science is behind this method seems like it is doing something with your color choices and from what I can tell it is not bad. Worst case scenario it is all bullshit but it gets you thinking about what it is you really want in a clever and creative way... no harm done.

I chose preference for colors which on my monitor were less harsh on the eyes when presented against a white background. I suspect that given a different monitor/settings and background color I would have chosen differently. The Escapist website's default theme has a lot of blue on white. Do you suppose that is accidental? There is a reason you don't see a lot of red or yellow on white as very few people would find it easy to look at such websites. I think for this reason the test biases itself in a certain direction and suspect that if you pareto the results you would be able to identify that bias. This seems more likely to be a test of the psychology of contrasting colors than it is a personality test.

Hilarious!

This must have been the worst test I've ever taken and I've taken a few.

My keywords:
Nonconforming, Impulsive, Expressive, Romantic, Intuitive, Sensitive, and Emotional.

Information about me:
Officially diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. I may be nonconforming, I don't even know how to conform but I'm everything but impulsive, I haven't the faintest clue on how to properly express myself. I simply don't seem to get romance, it all seems so sexist and irrational. I'm far from intuitive, realizing many things only hours later if at all when it's far too late to react. I'm not really sensitive, often insisting on the logical course of actions regardless of any emotions. And 95% of the time I don't seem to have any emotions, or at least I'm not aware of them.

Also, the colours were horrible. I like green, they never showed me a real green. I also like red, they never showed me a real red.

Wow, I have never found a personality test that was so general AND so wrong. Quite impressive what they managed there.

I can't believe this was worth a news post. It's complete rubbish, it works the same way as horoscopes do; All of the results are written to sound specific but be vague enough to apply to almost anyone.

*EDIT* The longer one doesn't even have the honour of working at all. It thinks I'm a creator and a persuader. At least the short made sense.

The idea that being made to arbitrarily rank colours is in any way related to your personality and abilities is absurd. I don't have a colour rank, and I don't particularly mind what colours I look at. None of them are my 'least favourite', and even if one was then it would affect anything.

The first set of keywords is OPPOSITE of what I am like.
BUT, it did give AUTHOR as occupation, which I am!
Also, I do tons and tons of research (Second Occupation) for my job, which I do from home.
Second set of keywords are exactly what I'm like...

So that's pretty darn impressive overall!

Went into this thinking it'd be a load of old bollocks and got the creator result with persuader as 2nd best.

Strangely accurate but then again I guess it does give fairly general results.

2nd Best Occupational Category
You're a PERSUADER
KEYWORDS:
Witty, Competitive, Sociable, Talkative, Ambitious, Argumentative, and Aggressive
These enterprising types sell, persuade, and lead others. Positions of leadership, power, and status are usually their ultimate goal. Persuasive people like to take financial and interpersonal risks and to participate in competitive activities. They enjoy working with others inside organizations to accomplish goals and achieve economic success.

Sounds pretty spot on for me, sadly my career path is no where near either of those, and suffice to say I'm not super happy about my job. I do my job as a need for cash rather than for the enjoyment of it.
Hot damn, I got the exact same results (which I thought were pretty fitting, it's what I want to do) and my job is also creatively lackluster and I'm not nuts about it. It's pays but that's about it.

Quoted for similarities, [sub]and truth[/sub]

Ditto. Apparently preferring earth tones makes me want to create things and then organize them. Or maybe wanting to create things and then organize them makes me prefer earth tones?
