It doesn't really effect me, I already have a very good connection

but I like the idea, its definitly not plausable for most countries though, like the USA with so many rural areas, what about the vast empty forests? is someone going to run line through there just to make sure the single hermit living there gets a 100 megabit connection?

Hell, the US doesn't have enough money to lay another inch of line on the governments tab for "rights" in fact, we are heavily in the negatives

better start learning what comes after "O' Canada" in the national anthem, I may have to head over there within the next decade or so...

I'm not so sure how I feel about it being declared a legal right, however; I can't stop thinking that we should have more important things to worry about than getting a good ping in TF2 [http://www.teamfortress.com/].
Well, it means that in these countries, citizens can't have their internet suddenly removed, unlike the UK where Peter-"Snake in the Grass"-Mandelson has threated to have 'pirates' internet access removed - without trial. Further, he suggested this right after HAVING LUNCH WITH David Geffen[url], a big shot in several media industries.

Frankly, any step taken to protect people from this rabid anti-everyone activity, the better, in my view.

So by 2015 the UN will have halved world hunger and all Fins will have access to broadband. It's a brave world we live in.
