Christ...I grabbed my chest on reflex when I read this. As a kid I always thought a tree would grow inside me if I ate seeds out of fruit, could've been half right.

I also believed the same. I thought, eating an apple seed would make an apple tree grow inside me. Guess I have to start taking childish fancies more seriously from now on. Then again, lungs don´t contain gastric acid. Pretty freaky occurrence, nevertheless.

Thats why you never eat the black watermelon seeds, a big ol' melon will grow in your belly.

I told my brother this when we were young. He kept eating the seeds and I was trying to get him to stop. So I made up a story about the brother we had before him, who died because he ate watermelon seeds and had a plant grow inside him. ... it was pretty morbid, and he started crying. I got in trouble, but succeeded in stopping him from eating the seeds.

And this story is pretty awesome. I guess this guy's got some fertile lungs. He must be unbelievable relieved it wasn't cancer. And he gets to be in the news. Lucky him.
