When I was 2 years old I used to run around the house ass naked and drink my parents beers. They were fine with it.

I miss the good ol days.

First drink was a bit of wine when I was about seven.

Now my drink of choice is WKD Blue. :D

Out of interest, what countries do you 17+ year olds who don't/rarely drink live in? Because I'm only 16 and pretty much everyone drinks over here in the UK.

wine when i was 5, but i don't remember it (because i was hammered obviously).
vodka and coke sort of mixtures when i was 16 for my first experience of being drunk.

first that i remember was a pint of cider (i'm from somerset, its common as water) with my dad. There have been many more since then and I also drink malt whiskey with him on special occasions

I don't see the point so I don't drink...

except maybe that "wine is good for your heart" thing...

anyways IMO alchohol smells bad and/or "strong" (I can't stand things that have a strong smell, no matter what the smell)
In a way i agree with you, while i don't see the point in drinking to get drunk, i can understand having the occasional drink as long as you treat it with respect.

I would love to be able to say you should try a small sensible amount of alcohol (and not anything like vodka) before you rule it out but i wouldn't want you to think i am trying to make you drink. You probably get that all the time anyway

I don't often drink because I dislike the taste, but WKD is just weak enough to mostly ignore if I'm at a friends house. I'd never be caught drinking it in a bar though, that'd be suicide!

I live in Scotland btw, and I cannot tell you how awkward it is to have the "I don't like the taste so I don't drink" conversation with people. They just don't believe me.

Yeah... i have no clear memory of this, but my father gave me half a glass beer when i was little. I was... don't know, 8-9 or so? Of course i didn't like it, but when you get older beer grows on you. (Now to get a cold fresh beer on a hot summer evening is just awesomely refreshing and tasty)

And yes, i am german. BEER GOOD *g*

Apparently as a small child/baby, I would crawl around to find wine glasses and drink from them...
That may explain my love of fine wines.
It would also explain why I hate cigarettes... (apparently I used to find ash-trays and eat cigarette butts when I was a baby >.< )

My first taste was when I was about 7, my aunt had given me a sip of her wine at her birthday dinner. My first drink was a shot of vodka about 2 years ago, I'm fifteen now. God the first shot of vodka is always the most.... Burny.. If that makes sense.

Jose Cuervo Gold; then, a Patron Silver; finally, a Fire-Shot of Tequila.

And I wasn't even buzzed... huge let down.

I asked the bartender to take it easy on me for my first time (I waited till I was 21), and she gave me a Slow Screw. Wasn't bad, but not the kind of thing I drink anymore.

Does a fruit drink with a tad of rum count? At a New Years party a couple years ago, I got a sslushie-like drink and my dad got the same, however his had rum in it (which I did not know). So after I set mine down and forgot where I put it, I had some of his. Until he turned around and said "you know that has rum in it, right?"

Other than that, I don't ever plan on drinking any alcoholic beverage.

About 15 years ago my friend passed me a bottle of Jim Beam, I took a quite a few swigs, and then a quite a few more. Stumbled home, puked all over my bedroom. Then I was woken up by my mother with the most severe hangover I ever had and she forced me to do heavy labor. I swore off booze for another 2 years, then I got arrested 3 times for underage drinking.
