(Yes I checked, this thread has been made but not in the last 3 months at least, so kindly stop typing your snarky search bar comment. Yes, I saw you writing it, don't lie.)
I just bought Tickets to one of my favorite bands, The Dead Weather. The Dead Weather has an amazing stage presence, Jack White, a gritty blues rock sounds somehow mixing perfectly with buzzing and electric sound, Jack White, and ridiculous over-the-top-nonsense lyrics. Also Jack White. It wasn't until 2 or three days after I bought them that I realize this will be my first concert. So, fellow escapists, I wanted to know about your first concerts. Was it a well known band, how was the venue, all that junk.

First concert I remember was Video Games Live in 2005-6. Halo 2 had just been released and everyone was waiting to hear the Philharmonics play it.

They played the Metal Gear Solid theme first and had two people on stage acting out Snake and one of of his many, many victims.

Was an awesome experience overall.

The first I can remember was My Chemical Romance. Now, before you make a "LOL U CT URSLF" joke, I was dragged there by my brother and father. I didn't really like it, sure, I got to go to a concert, but I was never a fan of the band.

My first and only concert experience was when Green Day came down to Australia, and man, did they kick ass! I proudly list them as my favourite band, so I was exstatic. It was awesome. An amazing experience.

Reel Big Fish about three-four months ago, had a lot more fun than I thought I would, though next time I've got to take some cash to get drinks, that was a bad mistake.

Ther was some tour for an energy drink and I went to a relatively small show where Bullet for My Valentine, Atreyu, and Avenged Sevenfold all played. It was... AMAZING! We almost died on the way back though, level 3 snow emergency...

My first and last concert was to see Linkin Park. I really don't get concerts, everyone's screaming so loud I couldn't even hear the music.

My first gig I can remember very well, it was Machine Head back in 2004 in the Brixton Academy in London when they were doing their World Turns Blue to Grey tour. They were supported by God Forbid and Caliban, it was an awesome gig and they also recorded the Elegies DVD there. Its by far one of my favorite gigs I've been to so far.

My first was Metallica when they were touring for the black album. And just Monday I got to see Clutch!
Clutch!? god damn I wanna see them! They're playing a festival in the UK but I can't afford to go, due to other festivals i'm doing this year. Feh. I'm guessing they were good then?

I think the first concert I can remember going to (I mean come on, if we could all think back hard enough our responses would probably be something like a Wiggles concert) is a performance from a group called The Beatniks (Professional Beatles impersonators) who played on a floating stage in Darling Harbour.

Though other than that I don't think I've been to any other concerts, though I've vowed that when Flogging Molly announce a gig here in Sydney I'm dragging my friends out to see it.
