My first system and game, as far as I recall, was an Atari 2600 with an entire bundle of games, none of which can rightly be declared the first, though if I were to choose between them, the 'first' would be Night Driver.

Others purchased along with the system included Indiana Jones, E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, Combat, Pong,Pac-Man and Porky's the Game(it was just ill defined blocks of pixels aimlessly pursuing one another, nothing to get the 'Moral Guardians' of the era's hackles up).

I'd say that selection of games is exactly why I did not mourn what appeared to be the permanent loss of videogame consoles in the Crash of 1983.
I suppose that I could have had a worse first impression with console games(the Phillips CD-I or the Vectrex comes to mind), but I wasn't sold on home electronic gaming just then.

Thanks to the Nintendo Entertainment System Power Pad/Zapper bundle which came with Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt and World Class Track Meet, I returned to the hobby that safely keeps me indoors, well far away from the mosquitoes and scorpions that call this state home.

First every was a Gameboy Advance, I came a little late to the party, and Pokemon Gold.

But my first every console, as the OT requested, was a GameCube and a copy of Super Mario Sunshine. That and Spiderman, but I try to forget that game.

My first console was the NES and my first game for it was Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. I'd still play Duck Hunt today if my Zapper worked.

I was born with an NES & Mario Bros 3, a Genesis and Sonic 2, and an N64 with Bomberman 64. And stuff like Super Mario 64, but Bomberman 64 (and Hero) (and 64 II) was the big thing because I got obsessed with him, being the little shithead I was.

First console I ever owned was the original PlayStation and the first game I got for it was Batman Forever The Arcade Game. In retrospect it was a pretty shit game, but to my young mind playing as Batman was the bomb!

Still is thanks to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City ^^

Launch NES was my first when I was really young but we had a Commodore 64 and an Atari in the house when they first came out but I was either not born or to young to remember when we got them.

My first game may have been the Pacman on Atari because that and some came on the Commodore 64 I don't know the name of where the only games I can remember playing pre NES launch.

Gameboy Advance that came bundled with Super Mario world.

Oddly enough though, I never really played Super Mario world that much because I wanted the system for Pokemon - at that time, all I knew of video games was what I saw kids at my shcool playing.
