Wolfenstien was also my first. I'm 24 now, must've been like 5 at the time; my friend had it on his computer in his room because his dad had installed it on there. Of course our mom's freaked when they saw us playing it and for the first time ever I used the whole "but mom, it's okay, we're killing nazis!" excuse.

Thats a hard one for me, its been a long time. I honestly don't remember if I first played Goldeneye 64 or the original Half Life, but it's definitely one of the two.

Doom. Then, about half an hour later, Quake. It was a revelatory experience to someone brought up on Sonic the hedgehog.

You know what? Topically, I think mine night actually be Duke Nukem 3D, round at a friend's place. That was the last one I played (except for a tiny bit of Quake II) until I caved and gave MW2 a go last month...

Don't worry your not alone.
Plus mine is Marathon. It was made by the guys who make Halo, but back in '95. PS: no i did not play it in '95, i played it in 2007. Thats what happens when it is the first free FPS you find online for the mac. APPLE FTW!!

Battlefield 1942. Not old enough to be cool and retro, not new enough to be appreciated by younglings. Still, plenty of good times all round.
WHAT?? It is cool! Maybe not old, but cool.

Perfect Dark, and how I do love that game. Still play it for the N64 :)
yup, we never owned a copy but my friends did. Deathmatch was awesome on every map there was one area where all the bots suicidally charged in.. so much death

Edit: or perhaps it was Goldeneye, deffinitely one of the two

TIME SPLITTERS

I played TimeSplitters 2 for a collective of, I'm guessing about 800 hours as a kid, and I'm still not even close to unlocking everything 8 years later.

DOOM.
as like most
I remember when I first played that I got motion sickness, haha, so I didn't touch an FPS until Goldeneye(on the N64) and Dark Forces (PC) came out. My love for Starwars and the multiplayer experience fun of shooting my friends in the same room overcame my initial reaction to FPSs.
