Super Mario Bros on the NES. I was five and the year was 1992, it was someone's birthday and I kept dying at the first goomba. I think it's my earliest memory actually.

What's the first game you remember playing? (on any platform)

The first that I remember was this wierd platforming game for PC called commander keen.

Any fond memories?
The first game that I have ever played is The Adventure of the Search Bar. It's an epic quest of new users on The Escapist not using the search bar to find forums that have been done at least 100 times. The hero, Letsnoobtehpwns, must venture out into the forums and educate all the new users about the search bar.

Please, just use the search bar!
Hey, Im new here. Cut me some slack. I have'nt explored all of the functions of the forums yet. Noobs are people too.

This has been done a million times before, but since you're new I'll let you off.
Welcome to the Escapist.

It was Super Mario World, by the way.
Yes I was made aware of this recently. Apologies all around, of course.

Hang on, let me check the myriad of times I've answered this...

Tetris or Pokemon Red, I can't remember exactly which one, but I was pretty damn young and I loved them (and still do).
It's just "myriad". There's no "myriad of". Myriad just means "a lot of" -- a lot of of?

And now you know...
Indeed I do - bastard typos getting in my way and getting through proof-reads again. I always put "myriad of" in my work when I was doing my GCSEs, and even when I got corrected, I'd fallen into the habit of doing it ¬_¬

Thanks for the heads up anyway.

The Original Mario Brothers on the NES. I was 4 or 5 years old. I've been addicted to video games since then and am now 20 years old.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

and next time, try to use the search bar. trust me. if you keep doing threads like "first game you ever played" or "whats your favorite game", replies like mine will be all over your threads.

Pac-Man

On an arcade.

Dear God, where are the times...

I was 4 years old, like every year, I went skying with my parents. It was the first time that I could come along to sky instead of going to some centre for little kiddies.

It was in Austria. That arcade stood in the hotel, every night I went to the hallway to play on that thing.

From that moment on, it was decided I would become a gamer.
