This is a terrific concept for a movie, if it's well-executed.

For a game too. A virus sweeping through the bodies and minds of the human cyborg population, everyone possibly going berserk and rampaging! How would that not be awesome?

This was pretty much the whole premise in Ghost In the Shell where people has various cybernetic implants to enhance their ability and a hacker starts hacking into their system to gain control over them like puppeteer.

To be honest, I give props to Gasson for making this experiment. In our drive for technological advance, we often tend to forget the potential consenquences such advances might bring with them. Every time an advance in robotics appears, I feel very hesitant about it beacuse there is the legitimate concern that robots may one day become too advanced for us to handle and with decide to take control of us instead.

In comparison, bio-implants are an even more likely future development. And when they do appear, I have absolutely no doubt people will resort to using them. Considering how competitive out society is, people will do anything to get ahead heedless of the potential dangers.
