This is just for media attention.

The guy puts malicious code into an RFID chip and gets it put into his hand. Much like the chips you get for your pets.

But. The firmware the RFID reader needs to be able to execute that code, and have a vulnerability that code can take advantage of.

Seriously, this is rubbish. It's like me writing the same code on a piece of paper, soaking it in water and then claiming the water is now infected.

For a game too. A virus sweeping through the bodies and minds of the human cyborg population, everyone possibly going berserk and rampaging! How would that not be awesome?

This was pretty much the whole premise in Ghost In the Shell where people has various cybernetic implants to enhance their ability and a hacker starts hacking into their system to gain control over them like puppeteer.

I don't know about all of you, but I hope the "no one writes viruses for Apple because no one uses it" mentality will persist when iMplants come out...
