I did sort of enjoy the first two. Whenever the humans weren't on screen, or they were just running from Transformers. Either one.
I'm sold on this one simply because it's called Dark Side Of The Moon. And I'll probably go see it in the cinema cause what's the use of watching giant robots beating the shit out of each other if it's not surround sound and a massive screen.

Oh... Damn. Well that's just boring. I suppose it's still giant robots beating the shit out of each other.

Whoops! Well spotted. I've corrected that.

This is kinda silly. I'm just gonna wait until it runs on TV sometime in the future, like I did with the other two movies.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I mean, he might make a good film... It could possibly happen, right?

I dont blame you. The title seems to be missing a word in my opinion, heh.

That's...infuriating, actually. Apollo 11 being given a secret mission when the world thought they were beyond radio contact is an incredible premise. And it's being squandered on Michael Bay's Transformers. It'll probably be pretty shabbily cobbled into the trilogy's timeline, too.

Given that Megan Fox and her bland acting are officially absent from the third film, the trailer has not one single explosion or action scene in it, and the fact that the writers from the first two films are gone, I am actually expecting this one to be good. At least as far as Bay's transformers film go.

If the downed Transformer is on the dark side of the moon, why is that area perfectly lit? The whole point of the moon having a dark side is that sunlight never--oh, forget it.

EDIT: Seems I forgot how tidally locked planetary bodies work. :) Sorry!

I'm wondering if Bay can avoid his style of comedy for this third one. Bumblebee 'urinating' on someone, offensive racial stereotype-bots and 'the enemy scrotum' can take a break. That is dork humour and more cringeworthy than remotely funny. Wouldn't mind a break from the blatant product placement too. Maybe some good cinematography would be nice.

May as well ask for a lifetime supply of ice cream while I'm at it. Mr. Bay I want you to include a lifetime supply of ice cream with this movie.

Seriously though, saw the first one, good enough for one superficial viewing. Saw it a second time and saw how truly awful it was. Only saw bits of the second one. From what I saw it was embarrassingly bad. I doubt Michael Bay has learned enough from his many many mistakes to make a good third movie, (or a good movie full stop,) but something at least watchable would be cool.

I smell Unicron in the next movie. It seems obvious of the uninspired franchise anyway. Hasn't Michael Bay killed Transformers enough? I'm boycotting the movie like I did the second one and I'm going to get as many of my friends as possible to join me.

The trailer look cool. Am I the only one who think that transformers near the end is Alpha Trion? (only because of the beard) and also by the movie title I saw Unicron well in planet mode as well.

Well, it's "dark" to us, as in "we never see it". The moon is tidally locked, always showing the same face towards us, but still rotates around the Earth. The dark side gets as much sun as the side facing us.

Unless you were sarcastic and making fun of the trailer. Sorry! It's hard to tell. It's worth making fun of.

Especially the part where the astronauts have TWENTY MINUTES to get to the other side of the Moon. It isn't a freakin' park, it's 1700 km wide! How fast can you move when you're just hopping around like a stoned bunny?! Even if they landed on the edge of the dark side and the crashed ship was just over the hill, you don't get to do shit on the Moon in 20 minutes.

Wait, how did that transformer reactivate... I thought transformers weakness was extreme cold, and they're in space...??

Honestly Michael Bay, can't you even follow your own retarded science? :p

I hope so much Unicron will be in this movie, but probably won't. I hope Bay wasn't lying about going deeper into the mythos because this looks more interesting compared to the first two.
Knowing Bay, Unicron would be defeated by a single nuclear missle with the American flag painted all over it.

But... but... but...

Where is Shia LaBeouf?

Without Shia's unique charm, inspirational talent and superb performances, this movie just won't be a real Transformers movie. I just know they are going to ruin the franchise forever by focusing entirely on the stupid giant robots and excluding all the intricate relationships and profound romance associated with the human characters of the series.

Nope, none of that. Just giant robots hitting each other. Oh man, this is going to suck.

Side note, anyone else thinking Vector Sigma for the transformer at the end? And god I feel like such a nerd now.
That was actually my first thought, too.
At risk of exposing my pedantic nature with Transformers, its unlikely either of you are right since Vector Sigma isn't actually a Transformer: he's a computer AI in the heart of Cybertron that can create new Transformers (See G1 two parter 'The Key to Vector Sigma')

I'd hedge my bets that the big fella on the moon is actually another Prime such as the already mentioned Vector Prime or he could be Alpha Trion.

As for the trailer itself, its much nicer than the teasers for either of the other two since there are no Baysplosions and until you find the robot himself, could easily have been mistaken for another Sci-Fi film. The premise is intriguing; the execution solid and seems to do what most trailers are incapable of: entice without spoiling.

Whether this carries across to the full film remains to be seen.

When will they bring back the Bug transformers, which were shaped as bugs? 4th movie? 5th?
the third movie is the last one in the Transformers franchise.

I heard that the Autobots and the Decepticons were supposed to form a team to take out an enemy. Or was that just for the game?
If that's true, then that means Mr Yellow was Unicron. The only thing ever that would threaten Megatron enough that he'd even consider not trying to kill Optimus till after the battle.

can't wait to see it. it looks like they might be trying to be a bit more like the first one.
also, if that isn't sentinal prime, then it might be wreck-gar.
even though he is awesome, it would just be another action-comedy like the second one.
and then i may have to hurt a certain someone...
