Eh so wow costs around £120 a year. Some people with the addiction probably don't have a job and have hardly any money. This is more for rich parents to force there kids to go there because they are playing a game for a few hours a day.
Agreed, I can imagine its gonna be full of rich kids whos parents want them to be lawyers/doctors, not play WoW for a few hours every day.
And also christian nutters too, who would exorcise cartoons from a childs mind with $15k worth of therapy if they could.

Quoting to get your attention
I'm willing to send an email to them using what has been said here. What I have so far needs lots of improvement upon:
I have to applaud you on your excellent niche filling. Finding a no-existant problem, and tagging it as an 'addiction', fooling people with money to spend an extraordinary amount to 'cure' their children.

A programme like this would only make parents less responsible for their children, by putting them in the hands of you people rather than taking an active role in the child's welbeing.

Anything can be addictive, even if not physically so.
"Addiction" in that context is nothing more than an excuse for poor choices and bad habits. I think I preferred the days when we called that sort of thing a character flaw.
I don't think we should mock the idea of internet or gaming addiction.
Oh, I do.

I'm a gaming freak almost addict I dont depend on it I have gone weeks without it sometimes (I felt cold alone and scared during those times.... no not really) but I wouldnt pay 15,000 just to stop geeze why not just sell all your consoles/computers and live with it you would get used to it.

Also does anybody else find it ironic that an internet and gaming (huge emphasis on internet for this) rehabilitation clinic has a website and is mainly found through it?...

No arguments there. It is a character flaw, the result of bad habits and poor choices. After all, there is nothing physical preventing you from stopping (only, perhaps, making it harder).

I see nothing wrong with wanting to overcome those flaws, so long as one does not blow it out of proportion (as it seems in this case).

But I find that my opinion may only represent a small grain of truth hidden behind a lot of the crap that led to this 15000$ worth of exaggeration.

You're all in denial.
Being in denial would assume I accept the concept of Internet/Gaming Addiction and then saying that I'm not addicted.

I don't accept that they exist. Anyone who is supposedly addicted likely suffers from one of two things:

1) A desperate need for escapism away from reality. A $15000 camp wouldn't fix that anymore than a 50p chocolate bar would.

2) They have an addictive personality. In which case, they need to attend a general addiction support group. For one thing, it won't run you $15000 and it probably won't be a complete waste of your time and money.

Damn, that's more expensive than treating a drug addiction. Seriously though; when I noticed that I was spending more time playing Xbox 360 than creating music and playing drums (my true passions) I simply got rid of it (gave it away to friend); end of story.
