ugh, I HATE it when they do that! the last 3 girls I liked (sorry, like) all got flirty with me. "I've got to go catch the last train, want to come to the station with me?" wink wink, and then she was totally surprised when I manned up enough to ask her out. or come talk to me, ask me to dance, and then totally disappear. one did that like 3 times. sometimes you just want to shake them and yell: what the fuck?

I was, especially with the first one. turns out she was just getting back together with her ex, which, as she later told me, explains the absolutely soulcrushing reply she gave me. so basically my timing sucked. but I still think she was sending the wrong signals... I'm too chicken to ask anyone out unless i'm pretty sure she's interested. incidentally, I'm probably renting a house with her soon ^^ sense, I make it!

Oh, man. Be ULTRA careful there. If you love this girl, be prepared to get crushed again. She sounds like she's emotionally confused, so she's not likely to take any chances...

BTW, asking 'So, do you like me?' is not such a smooth way to go.

haha, nonono, not like that. My dad offered to rent me a house, but being a poor student, I could never make rent on my own, so I'm getting friends to come live with me, her being one of them. She's still with that boyfriend I mentioned (goddamnit), so we're not getting involved anyway. But yes, I do really like her. I suspect that's just because she has a boyfriend though, which means she's not slutting around, which is what turns me off most other girls.

I'm a relentless, shameless flirt who's about a hundred thousand a year in income and a good suit away from being Dan Fielding from Night Court, and I've got a charisma that tends to be of the slow-burn variety, as in I'll meet a girl at work or school and six months later she'll be practically begging me to ask her out when my oddball nature drives her crazy to the point where she simply has to know "what's with this guy?"

So I wouldn't really know much about being flirted with right away by someone I didn't already know.
