Rammstein FTW. The song Augen auf by Oomph is okay but I don't really like their other music too much. And there are too many good Northern European metal and gothic rock bands to name.

Also Yann Tiersen is an excellent musician (French). Sorry, I don't know how to embed videos :(

Yes, I have taken quite a liking to foreign music.

I like quite a few foreign bands, but oh those crazy languages...
Hahaha :p
Does it make me stupid that it took me about 10 seconds to realise that Muse could actually be foreign for some people?

Edit for clarity: I am a British one :)
Not at all, I did the exact same thing

When you want foreign music that rocks, you can't get any better then Rammstein
Watch till 2:10 and you'll be in for a treat that only Rammstein does
Rammstain rocks. I love how daring they are. Need I mention their song Pussy?
By the way, have you seen the Mein Teil live video? If not, check this out.
Rammstein got some insane live concerts.
I have indeed, I have both Live Aus Berlin and Volkerball on DVD, + all the albums. Can't wait for their new live dvd filmed at Madison Square Garden. They are my Fav. band of all time
I have made a list of concerts I have to attend to before I die.

1) Metallica (might be once they finish their next album
2) Rammstein
3) AC/DC (final tour)

Just hoping i'll be lucky enough to actually get a ticket this time. Last time I was too late and it was sold out.

Q1: Yes
Q2: As follows

1. Slot, Russian
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDNaBulvKgc

Only 1 video because all of their music rocks this hard!

2. Fokofpolisiekar, South African
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MdSh8OGCGw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTAWkPo9YGE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eonCPmX8af0

Multi links cause not all of their music is great.

EDIT:
I really like the lyrics they've got in some of their songs, it stems from them growing up with the guilt of apathied in south africa, does not apply to me, but damned awesome lyrics.

From antibiotika:
Aim for my heart!
It pumps wilderness in here too.
I feel like a tourist,
in my own homeland
like a beast in a cage
on antibiotics!

From brand suid afrika:
A landmine of guilt
A one man concentration camp

Firstly, the premise of this topic is absurd. We are on the bloody internet. The most famous contributor to this site is Australian. One of the most popular groups of people are Canadian. A great wad of the user base is anything but American. Shape up or ship out.

Gogol Bordello. Intro's a bit quiet.
Except that Gogol Bordello is an American band.

Thirdly:

Behold the Swedish awesomeness that is Graveyard, you ethnocentric bastards:

i can 1-up regarding live aus Berlin, i was there when the thing was recorded, being all of 11 at the time.

It's always hilarious to see Rammsteins marketing play out the way it does, the music and the way of singing is designed to appeal people who speak English(mainly americans) and because what is big in america must be good their popularity here does increase as well.
They were never as popular here as they are abroad, mainly because of nazi accusations which nobody but as really cares about.

What i really like about Rammstein is that because of them irish teens know two things from Germany, Hitler AND Rammstein (and only one of those actually is German).

OT: ehm i really like Joy devision.

As for some Australian bands since I'm an Aussie, here's some awesome Aussie songs from Silverchair, but I think they were exported to america early on....

Anthem for the year 2000: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTM5cDIESrY
Freak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScfXgdawucU
Anna's Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdF98W-ON3Q

These guys got big at 14, making Bieber even lamer than he was before you knew about them.

Edit: Better quality version, first version demonstrating their awesomeness/age ratio at that time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heQi0AZBH-0&feature=related

Considering im neither British nor American it's hard for me to not enjoy "foreign" music. About 75% of what i listen to is "foreign". However to pick something foreign for general Escapist population, im a big supporter of one of polish folk-metal/slavic-metal (or whatever those genres are called these days) bands, recently brought to daylight by Witcher 2 called Zywiolak (Elemental)

Dammit before I came to this thread I'd only heard of rammstein from clothing that goths wear, now I want to go and buy all their albums.

I'll put up Visual Kei metal band Versailles.

<youtube=Bq71E30AHUY>

And X Japan. The band with the most reckless and passionate drummer on the planet.

I'm from Britain, and from what I've heard

Most of the America's have good music
France has good music
Germany has good music
Scandinavia has good music
Most Asian music is good, except for mongolian, and napalese.

Russians and former USSR territories are borderline good really.

I don't like African music very much, nor do I like Indian music.
