You forgot to mention the best part about The Guyver. In the sequel, despite it being a lot more boring, it had David Hayter as the hero.

David Hayter.

Also, pretty much every other incarnation of Guyver, from the Manga to the OVA series (two of them I believe), are far better then the movie. Just sayin'.

Now, for the most important question: Italian Spider-Man, or Japanese Spider-Man, which is worse?

Growing up, I remember enjoying the very Canadian (ie, "My Secret Identity" [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLuXJL2GCgk], also noteworthy for being Jerry O'Connell's only significant work between Stand By Me and Sliders. It was basically The Secret World of Alex Mack but without the evil corporation hunting the lead character.

I have to see that Japanese Spiderman. That sounds like the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of.
If I remember correctly, he used a friggin GUNDAM.
Just watched the first episode. Thats absolutely killer - Japanses Spiderman is clearly much much better than the soft Western version.

Meteor Man and Zebraman!

I love those movies and own both of those on DVD.

You can't call yourself a Miike fan without having Zebraman in your collection.

Interesting list MovieBob, but I'm going to have to say that the sequel to the Guyver live action film was a lot better than the first one. To me, the first live action Guyver movie was too silly. That, and it had Jimmy Walker in it as a monster that looked like Jar Jar Binks retarded cousin trying to be a hip-hop gangsta. Dark Hero was much better.

How can you compile a list of superhero movies without including Orgazmo? A Mormon-turned-porn-star uses his martial arts and orgasm-ray to fight to save his girlfriend with the help of his sex-toy-wielding sidekick, from the grips of a twisted porn mogul?

Wow, now that I've written it all down, it seems hard to believe it actually isn't a porno.

Great selection, personally wish you chose something other then The Guyver. Just one of the movies I am tired of people telling me I should see this movie when I have already have. Good, but a little too over hyped. Though out of curiosity why did you leave out Mystery Men in favor of Blankman?

I know they are of the same flavor, just am a bit surprised since it would be on ball with The Avengers. I know when The Avengers movie does comes out I'll be comparing it to Mystery Man because I think it does the team of superheroes bit real well. I can't really think of any movie that has tried to do the team of superheros and it come out as well as Mystery Man did.

Though thanks for at least making me feel at least a bit of your movie tastes since I've seen half already.

I'd suggest "The Shadow" circa 1994 from director Russell Mulcahy. A gritty film-noir title where a psychic superhero who atones for his evil past as a murderous opium dealer is retrained by a Tibetan monk and uses his mental powers to "cloud men's minds" and appear to them only as a shadow with a really creepy laugh who fights against the last remaining descendant of Ghengis Khan in order to stop him detonating a nuke in 1930's New York city.

With a plot like that, how can you pass it up?

Does Italian Spiderman not count? I'm not due if it counts as a movie but if you string all the youtube episodes together and pretend a little its like a movie.

Blankman was as funny as having dental surgery while having bamboo splinters shoved under all your nails and your pubic hair set on fire. It had one good joke and that's that his sidekick is known as "The Other Guy."

I need to watch Blankman again soon, I loved that movie so much.

Anyway, thanks for not mentioning Orgazmo. Oh dear lord.
