Ah thanks for clearing that one up for me. The only other forums I visited were the nintendo ones, and they're a bit lame.
Nintendo forums tend to be kinda lame... I mean nintendo characters make such unoriginal sig, and thats all they have there...

Yeah I know, Thats why I rarely use WarCry now.
I've posted on WarCry twice. I just don't see jack/crap worth commenting on over there.
I posted a few ties, ended up with my Forum Vagabond badge, but decided 'twer to scary a place to stay, and shortly fled after.

Yeah, I only posted enough to get the Forum Vagabond badge, since I had a couple questions that never got answered.

There's another person who does it so I didn't want to single Mr. Alex out as the only person to do it, however it was him I was thinking of when I said that.
I don't mind that though. It's just their way of doing things, rather than an arbitrary picture that takes up lots of room.

I don't really like forum sigs to be honest: usually because there's some twit who doesn't realize that their signature is about fifteen times larger than their actual post every single time.

It'd likely work if there was a restriction to just characters, no image tags, and there was a VERY sharp character limit. (One line.) Still, better no signature than too much signature.

I never said i didn't like it, in fact, I enjoy it when people have little quirks in their writing, like when Mr. Lassic makes peoples names bold, or when the aforementioned people put a little signature on their post. It adds a little depth to their posts and that way you always know its them whether or not you see their name.

I'm kinda sad about it.. I used to be right into the sig making, photoshop scene but cos my last few forums didn't allow em I haven't made anything for awhile, sig or otherwise.

I did post a bunch of my stuff in the art thread thinking that some feedback might get me back into it.. Nup.. No one replyed.

=(

I wouldnt mind petitioning for sigs cuz i can see the good side to em, but it seems that the bad outweighs the good here... I mean the admins or moderators would just gain an extra pain in their ass... and i already see some people who dont enjoy sigs... so its unfortunate but i guess necessary.

It would be troublesome as well if you're writing a lot in your post, or double posting. Then you'd have the extra long post(s) and your signature. And that happens a lot here...

I could see it being both good and bad. As some of the various threads have shown some people here posses mad photoshop skills and could most likely make some very good sigs. However, they can become annoying quickly, sure the awesome sig may be awesome the first time round, but if somebody is arguing, or posting a lot in a single thread it could quickly lose its luster and just become annoying.

hey how about a sig making thread? I mean sure we cant use the sigs but at least people can show off what they can do without cluttering the rest of the forums. and those who dont want to look at em wont have to worry about it, they can just choose to not go into that thread.

I don't like sigs, but I see nothing wrong with having them, since we do have the option of turning them off.

Mmm. Picture sigs do tend to make me want to rip my eyeballs out and stomp on them. Although I've seen a site or two which only allows words to be in your sig, and it seems to work out fine.

Of course, those sites are a LOT more strict about stupid people, plus they don't get a lot of traffic drawn from, say, funny web videos, which limits the whole "l33t sp33k" sigs.

At any rate, them be the rules of the land.
I don't know about the thing about all no-pic-sig sites being smart, GameFaqs has that restriction.

Another forum I am apart of has sigs that can be no bigger than about 5 lines and those sigs that are to big or to out of place are told to be taken down and it all works out pretty well.
