I hope they fix that whole story transition thing soon. I can't even enjoy the game anymore knowing thats taking place. Its just so damn lazy of blizzard to do that.

So if I started playing World of Warcraft now, would I not see all the stuff and how it was before?
Alot of the quests are the same, but the areas has all got more or less revamped...

So to answer your question, yes and no...
I guess thats why they made the new profession, Archaeology, inwich you can learn alot about the lore and the world before the cataclysm...

Oh i didnt mean to do that... They have made some great changes to the zones and the new quests really gets you more involved with whats going on and not just "go there and kill x boars"... Plus the phasing helps changing the world as you progress...
I really thought blizz would fuck this one up, but this far im actually really suprised at how well they have done it...

A new continent bums me out; I find it hard to believe there would be entire un-discovered continents in Azeroth. Then again Kalimdor wasn't discovered by the Eastern World until War3... I dunno, it just kind of rubs me the wrong way.
With the whole world / dimensional travel thing its pretty believable that there are unexplored continents, or known ones like the outlands, just not on azeroth. plus there are explored contimnents that just aren't in wow yet. Like Northrend before wrath

New continent...guess the world just magically has more land every other year XD

Also just realized that the expansion is out on the "date which will live in infamy"

well played Blizzard.
Actually, in the middle of azeroth, is the maelstrom which slowly drags all the continents together. In time, that might draw faraway continents to the players proximity?

I read lore while waiting for cataclysm release yesterday... dont judge me :D
so i guess the world is flat if thats true XD everyone just stop going east and west after they reach water heh

It could be a lot of fun to see Outlands have new quest content, or overarching story - same goes for Northrend (they could do more of a focus on Storm Peaks instead of Icecrown as a way of shifting the story towards the Old Gods).

It will be cool to see if they try to patch together a flowing 1-85+ story line, but I won't be holding my breath.
