Did anyone else want to punch something after they watched this?
I read the title and wanted to punch something already.

How FOX is one of the most watched "news" outlets is beyond me. America is just full of fucking idiots I guess.

yeah, fox, a children's novel from 1952 is pushing the current - day liberal agenda. sure.

What i don't get is why this is on the escapist's frontpage. This is a video gaming site, isn't it? there's not much point in running a story every time fox says a stupid thing. some sort of tangental connection to gaming would be nice.

I would like everyone here to spread the word that everyone working at FOX News, supporting FOX News or watching FOX News is a pedophile.

This is proven thusly:

1) Any of them who admit to it are obviously guilty.
2) Any of them who deny it are obviously lying because they don't want anyone to know.
3) Any of them who don't have a criminal record simply haven't been caught yet, and should be demonised.
4) Any of them who speak out and try to silence you are Pro-Pedos and want to legalise Pedophilia.
5) Any of them who work in Education, or with Children in any way, are telling young kids it's normal to be molested.
6) Any who deny this are lying (see #2).

Make this known, make it viral, and spread it across the globe with the following footer:

"This is how you treat everyone else, so this is how we will treat you."

Really? They're going after a Studio Ghibli film? I can see why they would go after videogames but why the hell would they go after a non-mainstream Japanese animation film? But, I guess it's silly to expect anything like actual logic to come out of Fox News.

But the saddest thing about it is that they still seem to hold this idea that global warming isn't actually happening and it's all a conspiracy when there's mountains and mountains of well known evidence to the contrary. And for what? So the "1%" can carry on ruining the environment for everyone? Fucking self centred pricks.

They're clearly threatened because studio Ghibli are better entertainers than they are.

Because that's what they are, they certainly aren't news reporters.

Sometimes I think you should really need a license to be able to report news, and when you just report opinion it should be revoked. oh well, free speech is what makes this country great I guess. Though fox does its best to make me doubt that sometimes.

I'm on to their game.

I couldn't finish the segment... Annoying bullshit aside... their very voices made me want to jab ice picks into my ears.

What they were using those voices to say didn't help matters, of course.

Saw this and it made me remember some basic things:
1. Never discuss politics, especially American, because your either a greedy self bloated rich bas!ard trying to keep your money. Or you are a hippie with stupid communist ideas...

2.FOX "News" would make such a brilliant comedy show over most of Europe. I already see it before me "The best of Fox News, the channel that got the (legal) right to lie and where opinions and news mix into a pure hilarious mess..."
(I would probably watch that...)

3. I'm starting to question my ethics about "live and let live, stop bothering me now". Because sometimes I really question the right to have opinions and breed... Do we really need more morons like those?

And how the heck could a Japanese film witch had premiere in July 2010 thats based on a British book from the 50's have be influenced by "Hollywoods liberal agenda" have anything to do with the occupy movement that started in September 2011?
Finally I believe that his first sentence says it all "A story you won't hear, from any liberal media" I would almost go as far as you wont be hearing this story from anywhere else....

"one of which suggest parents protest the film by littering in theatres"

Usually I would suggest protesting something you don't like by not paying money for it. The bottom line is the only thing that matters to companies. Of course that would stop people from spending and no one wants that right.

Silly FOX, there's nothing wrong with pushing an agenda. Obviously you're pushing the moron agenda and we all keep letting you do it... I don't know why, but we do.
Hey, believe it or not we need Fox News. Why?

How else would we be able to identify the crazy, ignorant, paranoid morons of the world?

You see they put these people in front of the camera and just let them ramble on. That way we can study their insanity in a controlled environment.

Sure that's not Fox News' intention but well... they don't really need to know that.

So yeah, what to know what's the latest in crazy? Then tune into Fox News.

Fox, if you're looking for another well-loved, whimsical show that brightened the lives of thousands of children to rail against, might I suggest Bagpuss? [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga23iSxyXO4] I've heard he's pretty keen on recycling, liberal shill that he is.
That's a point, when are we gonna get a bagpuss movie?

Well, yes; Dr. Seuss was in favor of protecting the environment in the Lorax, was against blowing up the world with nuclear weapons in the Butter Battle Book, and in favor of treating other people with respect and dignity despite their differences in Horton Hears a Who. I guess you could say those are all liberal ideas. Or you could just say that those are all things that basically any reasonable person would agree are a good idea, irrespective of their economic ideology.

Outrage is entertainment. It's fun to get outraged and be in the "in" group that doesn't like a particular "out" group. People watching Fox News watch it to get outrage entertained into disliking those damn liberals. Other people read Huffington Post or watch Colbert Report to get outraged about what those dastardly conservatives on Fox News are doing. It's all the same kind of entertainment.

I'm just not interested in that kind of entertainment. There's websites and TV shows for that, it's just not my thing. I prefer thinking about issues, laughing at zero punctuation, and getting hyped for Skyrim.

I was just surprised to see that outrage-tainment on my videogaming and geek culture website because that's not what I'm into.

Is the Escapist rebranding as a political website or something?

Why do I care what deep cable Fox Business Network (not Fox News) has to say about a couple movies? That station is so insignificant that clip probably got more views from this article than when it actually aired.

I thought this website was about videogames and nerd culture not bizaro FOX NEW IS TEH DUMB politics. Strange front-page story.
I say this article and reaction is pretty pathetic. It's not gaming news. It barely qualifies as 'nerd news'. I read it because I was, myself, wondering why it made the front page. The answer is pretty obvious, though. This site just loves to hate them some Fox News. Now, most reasonable people will say, "Hey, it's some pundit on a fairly obscure cable channel. I'll just ignore his grab for attention", but since it's associated with Fox, Internet rules dictate you have free reign to whine and froth about Fox News, Republicans, Conservatives, Christians, etc. There's no discussion either, someone posts a clip of someone on Fox News getting something wrong or giving an opinion, forum erupts in people smugly reaffirming their hatred and superiority over those they disagree with, rinse, repeat. This isn't even news on any level. Those movies probably aren't pushing an agenda (However I haven't seen them), and the entertainment industry favoring the left is not news nor is it secret.

I must admit though, FOX News has a brilliant business strategy.

I just hope they have elephant tranquilizers ready in case one of their talking-heads suddenly turns feral and tries to eat the token-liberal guest.
