side note, but the Japanese story seems like a copy of an older book [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Borrowers]

"According to Fox News,"

Stop taking it seriously right there. Indeed stop reading right there, save yourself some time.

The old Lorax animation always brings tears to my eyes at the end. It'll be interesting to see if Danny Deveto can bring that same emotion to the screen.

OT: I'm convinced that Fox just sells advertising space to companies. I mean seriously, the worst this does is stir up some extra buzz about both movies. I imagine their sales pitch goes something like this:

"Business slow? Think your movie might be a box office bomb? No worries, why for just a small fee of a few million dollars we'll have our "news anchors" skewer your product or service to unholy hell. Hate mail and death threats in your inbox the next morning or your money back. All you have to do is sit back and watch the shit-storm brew and the piles of money rolls in"

I see another thread to do with fox news.
I yet again feel glad that I am fortunate enough not to live in America.

At least the "children" (we all watch these kind of movies and love them) have the option to watch the movie. Religion fanatics FORCE their children to believe in their parents' god. Hypocrits.

Even after all those years of rediculous bullcrap by Fox, it still angers me sometimes...uber trolls.

The only real downside to this is that there's a percentage of Americans who take what falls out of their screens when on FOx is on at face value, just as there's a selection of British people who buy the Daily Mail thinking it's a newspaper.

If only everyone could be convinced that it's just mental BS and not meant to be taken seriously, I'd be more than happy for both to carry on.

No-one pays attention to the drunk homeless guy yelling abuse at traffic, but put him in a suit, give him a haircut and put him behind a desk with a FOX banner in front of him and sudden;y people feel like he's a legit news source.

Anyways, 20th Cent Fox are big enough in the movie industry, why don't they make a movie where the hero is a kid, left alone to succeed in the world because his mom was hit by a Toyota Prius, out campaigning for Obama, and his dad was a lazy bum who only worked minimum wage for a homeless charity, so died of cancer, because he was a lazy bumm who should have got a proper job and been able to afford health insurance.

His rival could then beat up on him and smaller kids (bonus if they're black, mexican, or a bit 'weird') and steal their pocket money, and end up CEO of a corporation that makes phone cases out of hollowed out squirrels or something, and he and his family get to live happily ever after, while the hero gets kicked to death outside a bar for 'looking like a fag'. Does that work for FOX?

Isn't the Secret World of Ariettie based on the book called "The Borrowers" does that mean we need to burn the books (to be fair I wouldn't doubt they would do that).

Also I saw the movie and thought it was great about people striving to survive in a strange land owned by those who established...wait didn't we do that...to the Indians....or as someone said the American dream (which is a much nice take) to raise up and work hard.

Also what is with the dick saying "Go into the theaters buy all the stuff you can and dumped all the stuff you bought" I have a few problems with that

1)Your spending money on the movie so they won't care cause they got their sale.

2)Your wasting money and showing your kids "Hey it's ok to buy all this crap and throw it away cause we don't need it, and to make those lesser then you (working at the theater) should take care of your messes you make" elitism folks (And we wonder why the less fortune it get the shaft).

3)Also the "ram popcorn in your face" makes me think of the phrase "Fat capitalistic pig"...

Also the crap ton of environmental cartoon shows shat out in the 90's called, where are ya on that. And those shows shoved PSA like messages at the end to...

Has it ever been a good idea trying to invoke politics on children's movies? No? Then stop doing it.

Now I understand why my grandmother keeps claiming that the JRPGs I play are 'brainwashing kids' and 'That's not what we believe in this country' whenever they spout off a moral about working together or something. Which I find amusing, but whatever.

The funny thing is the first guest speaker was right. Don't ***** about it, just don't watch it. The second guy was just lazy. The third guy however, is nuttier than squirrel shit.

BREAKING NEWS: This just in, it has been confirmed that yes, Fox are indeed still a bunch of cunts.
Back to you Ted.
Thank you Phil.
Today in sports, the Milwaukee Midgets have defeated the Washington What-evens by a bone-shattering eleventy to threeve.
Now here's the weather with Jack.
Thank you Ted.
Today we can expect another shitstorm as a new piece of inconsequential information is released concerning Mass Effect 3. Hopefully it lets up soon, the internet's septic tanks are almost full.
After this commercial break we'll be back with our news team's analysis of the Republican debates. If they can ever stop laughing.

I just love it how they consider themselves to be hardcore Christians, but they can't stomach sharing, rich people giving money away to the poor, poor people having opinions about anything etc.
They are the most evil and stupid group of people I've ever seen. Being a Christian isn't about believing in Jesus and heaven. It's about believing and practicing his philosophy. They are doing the exact opposite. I'm an atheist and I know more about Christianity than these fucks.
