Never really watched fox. I mean my local news station really only reports on Central Ohio and whats going on there. They will give a brief mention on big stories but besides that they tend to stick to more local events. Even when it is a hot topic they seem to not even care about the politics just how it is going to effect who.

Now the international Fox news... like I said.. never really watched it... All I know is they hired

Oh and yes, there will be some people who will say "EVERY NEWS SOURCE IS BIASED!".... Yes, but at least they get the news straight and don't make up crazy bat shit things like ohhh.....fox. CNN is getting a mention on this forum, and let me just say this: At least they always have a Republican and Democrat debate it out almost once every hour on key issues. At least you hear where both sides are coming from. You also don't have news anchors going off about how socialism is communism and Obama is the next anti Christ and is secretly a Muslim. God forbid he is, then the Right wing Religious nuts that make up fox would crucify him.

Oh and the guy has a point. Chris brown* is a idiot.

Fair enough but then again what is to be expected when they can boast the number one rating on tv. I bet if CNN had that title they to would boast like ostentatious morons.
I won't argue with that, but, then again, what matters is not power, but what you do with it.

Yes, I'm an eternal optimist.

I still think Fox News are... um... something that could get me permabanned if I said it, but in this one instance only I salute them for this. Andy Levy did well here.

Well, I live in the DC Metropolitan area, so Fox has to be a little more balanced here, due to all the politics going on.
While they do tend to make big scares over little stuff, like a little girl getting drunk off of licking hand sanitizer (that happened a few years back), we luck out on not having to put up with crazy stuff.
Are you one of those people that don't seem to realize there are local Fox AFFILIATES (thus, they are AFFILIATED with fox but they are not, in and of themselves, FOX NEWS?!) and not Fox News, the Cable tv, 24 hours news channel?

Because I live in DC too and that story was DEFINITELY on the local news, NOT Fox News.........
I'm talking about Channel 5, which runs TV as well as news at 10.
Maybe I'm wrong, here.

I personally don't like the news in general. I think all the stations give a biased twist one way or the other to every story, and that their all fear mongers that have far to much power in this country.

I personally have never really watched fox news other than funny clips here and there that are floating around the internet, but that guy was pretty funny. Still I don't agree with most of the political stances some of the other people on fox news take.

As a finial note I don't agree with the other side either.

Cheery, that video didn't change my mind. That kept it about the same: Fox picks on people who have obviously moved on. They bring up old topics and try to heat them up again. Listen to the people laughing in the background about beating women. Sounds wonderful, no?

I love Red Eye. It's freaking hilarious. And I don't have an overall problem with Fox News. It's the same as any of the NBC stations, just on the other side.

Shamelessly ignoring the OT, I have to say that Fox airs new Family Guy episodes, so they are all bad to me.

Meh, Fox is no better or worse than any of the other National News Networks. They all have good points and they all require you to take anything said with a grain of salt.

I'll admit, that was pretty funny. However, a lot of Fox News is still shit. And only semi-relevant since a lot of the stuff that happens in the States doesn't have much of an impact here in Canada.

Saying that Fox is okay because all news is biased is like saying that a morbidly obese man is okay because everybody eats. All mainstream news networks are complete garbage, it's just that Fox takes it's trashyness to a pandemic level.

Fox news isn't really any worse then CNN or NBC. They all put there own spin on the topic. Fox just roots for the right and CNN and NBC root for the left.

Anyway this was freaking hilarious.

I can't say I'm a fan of Fox, but I will say the majority of the people like to make it out to be a lot worse than it actually is (I'm guessing the most they've ever actually seen of the station are a select few clips regarding Mass Effect). I have a mother who watches it just about every day, believe me, I see quite a bit of it.

Some of the hate they get is totally warranted - I think Obama is the worst President in the history of the United States, and I'll be the first to say they take to ragging on the guy way too often. In addition, the Republican Party is never, ever responsible for things they're totally responsible for, the "Progressive Agenda" is what's single-highhandedly destroying America, and, of course, video games are the devil's work.

But on the other hand, they do generally make an effort to present both sides of an argument, sometimes even fairly (sometimes), and in all honesty Glenn Beck isn't quite the extremist he's often made out to be (I'm no fan of his, but having seen more of him than most people here, he falls more toward the small-government grassroots movement than the typical right-wing zealots like Bachmann or Perry do).

To be fair, this forum strikes me as being as left wing as Fox is right wing half the time. A lot of you do the same thing they often do: you talk about things you don't know about as if you knew about it, and your mind is already made up before the discussion has even begun. Not any worse, but exactly an improvement.

TL;DR = Fox isn't great, but isn't quite the EEEEVIL news station it's made out to me.
wow...you just put alot of people in there place, bravo good sir, bravo.

this has nothing to do with the problem the exists at fox and only shows that they are wrapped up in issues that don't matter to take some heat off their insane reporting on issues that do. also i have seen fox, enough fox, and there is no way to defend a lot of what they say and report on.

That was really funny. That's something my roommate would say. I still think Fox News blows, however.

This is the internet.

Nothing's as great as it looks.

Nothing's ANYWHERE as awful as it looks.

This includes FOX News. This didn't change my opinion of them, but then, I didn't despise them in the first place.

If you think Fox News is "just another biased media outlet", or that they're simply the right wing equivalent of NBC/CNN/BBC/NPR, or that they're a necessary balance to the Liberal Media Bias... open your fucking eyes. How anyone can embrace this false equivalency bullshit is beyond me. The evidence is out there for all to find and see. If you can't be bothered to know what the fuck you're talking about, do us all a favor and keep your opinion to yourself.

The vast majority of the world hates Fox News because they disagree with their ideology and their methods. America is pretty much the only nation that is batshit conservative enough to even contain Fox News within our accepted political spectrum; as the bumper sticker so eloquently puts it, half my country agrees with 99% of the world.

Edit: and for those of you who have no clue about the Redeye program, it's completely irreverent, its host is a fairly consistent libertarian, and the guy in the video above is the "ombudsman" - he basically corrects the host and his guests whenever applicable, which means the guy is more or less a liberal presence on the show. That's why he's actually funny.

It was, indeed funny, however, the amount of slant typically found on the channel makes this small gesture of good faith with the sane community pale in comparison.

Out of curiosity I looked up his stuff and he is a hit and miss kind of guy. I would never hold anything against him though because he walks in a satirist and walks out the same way just like Jon Stewart its things like O'reilly, the good looking blond women on fox, and Beck that piss me off. They parade around like pariah's of journalistic integrity while saying what i'm saying is just opinion or deliberately leaving out or distorting facts. Bullshit, no this does not change my opinion of fox.
