What Fox News said has already received far too much attention. I love how everyone thinks only Fox makes up news. Grow up. I hate fox, but MSNBC and CNN and all the others are just as guilty of sensationalizing the smallest item. The only difference here is they said something that a bunch of over sensitive gamers didn't like. Cry some more, please, that fixes all the problems.

OT: It has been said that there is no such thing as bad press. This is just more proof of that. The easiest way to marginalize something is to ignore it. They did the complete opposite and sensationalized it. You better believe that helped sell the game. Hell, the ultimate insult would be if Epic sent them a thank you letter for the help, haha.
hahaha this is true. Fox is pretty ridiculous, but it's not the only news channel to have its own political leanings

the only time press attention seems to have hurt is that psychologist on Fox whose book got ravaged by bad reviews on Amazon haha...maybe she got a few books sold by the attention but a 1 star rating's gotta hurt (idk tho, wonder what the numbers would say in this case)

The only people who take Faux Noise seriously are the people who want to be lied to. I live with one, I can speak from experience.

That said, most people don't want to be lied to.

"There are people who really respect Fox News' opinions and look at that and are [convinced that video games are bad]."

Respect?! who the hell respects fox news nowadays besides misinformed old people? But anyway, i think it's hilarious that their attempts to cause paranoia and further label video games as evil did the exact opposite they expected. it just proves to show you, the more you treat something as a taboo the more people will want it.

Including Fox's, right?
Free speech doesn't protect sensationalist bullshit, lies, or massive exaggerations.

The whole Fox News publicity actually made me want to play the game. When I first heard of Bulletstorm I wasn't all that interested until I heard all the garbage fox was spewing.

Thank you fox news for motivating me to pick up this awesomely fun game.

Aw, this is always cute every time I see it. =3
Any criticism of your favorite network, even when it lies to its audience is CENSORSHIIIIIIP!
(Yes yes, I know the drill. "I'm not a fan but I support blah blah life-long Democrat blah blah MSNBC is totally worse on this precise subject blah blah liberal Jew run media blah blah.")

Don't be a jerk. I never said a THING about censorship. I've never watched FOX News in my life, I'm Canadian, a conservative, never watched MSNBC, I like Jews, the media is mostly liberal.

How's that for "knowing the drill"?

Seriously, don't stick an entire rant into the other guy's mouth just because you cynically think you know how he works. YOU DON'T.

Dude, I'm in the UK and I can tell you that FOX News makes our tabloids seem truthful. YouTube is there for a reason.

People who have never watched cable news point out overused archived examples from times way past and claim "This guy says something I don't agree with. They must be lying".
Watching clips on youtube nitpicked to put spin in one particular view does not make you knowledgeable about news channels. Furthermore you are in the UK. You do not have the firsthand experience with politics people living in the US have.

In order to allow a Fox Newsalike in Canada, Canada would have had to change its broadcast laws. Which state that a news organization must be as truthful as possible.

That really says all you need to know about Fox's--indeed, News Corp's in general--practices.

What!? A Developer actually looking at something beyond short-term sales, and thinking about the future of the industry as a whole? What madness is thi-oh wait we're not talking about EA or Activision.

Point is I'm glad to actually see developers recognize that media reaction does matter (to an extent). Of course why they then turned out a game that gives you points for killing multiple people at once and calling it a "gang bang" is still an unanswered question, but hey, babysteps.

Well, in this case, it helped sales, so that's good. That said, I don't mind the 'negative views' from FOX very much, especially considering so many people called out the station for bad reporting.

And, lest we forget, the people who talk about these subjects in the news pieces, the anchors as we know them, are just briefed on this subject matter, not detailed.
Very true. Glenn Beck wears his everyman lack of credentials like a badge, proclaiming every little factoid about what Kissinger or Churchill said back when like he had an intern look it up 30 minutes before showtime.

So that includes not only Bill Maher, John Stewart and the entire writing cast of Saturday Night Live, but also Senator Al Franken, Rachel Maddow, David Cross, Seth McFarlane and Aaron MacGruder?

C'mon. Fox News have tried to skirt controversy by stating that every one of the personalities associated with the network - Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck, Fox 'n' Friends - are actually NOT news but opinion. This, of course, is about 80% of the Fox News day. Which means, if we are to believe them, that Fox News is only a 20% news channel, which means that percentage wise they report less news than The Daily Show.
