Well, it has happened, Fox News did a segment on MW2's big terrorist scene. And they got it completely wrong, again. No mention of the 2 points you can choose to skip the sequence.
I about broke my remote from anger.

Heh, I personally gunned down every single pixelated civvie in that airport, then switched to the M203 and finished the rest.
The point is, it's A GAME, which most people (Politicians, etc) don't seem to understand.
Next time I go through, I won't shoot anyone.

Expectable. The question was,not if they would do it. It was "would they mention you can skip it if shooting innocent people kind of disturbs you?" This episode is not just mindless violence - it's there to make a point about how extremism is OBVIOUSLY BAD.

It kinda saddens me that most gamers are too desensitized and cynical to even THINK about what they are doing.

TBH, it cause a small knot in my stomach the first time i played it and realised what the game was asking, but i had blatently ignored the two warnings it had given me, so it cannot be anyone's fault, especially the game developers. I reckon they were aiming to put some gamers in an awkward moral choice suituation to reflect how an undercover agent would have to cope with it...
Mind you im rambling now.
but yeah, in conclusions, they are still Ferking Pixels...

You are not required to shoot the civilians... You can walk through the majority of that sequence without firing a shot. I'm just saying that the game doesn't ask you to do anything. It just throws you into that situation, and it is up to you to decide on how you wish to conduct yourself. Though, you don't have much choice once the Russian equivalent to SWAT shows up (Those guys mean serious business). I will say it does take some restraint to not open up on the terrorists and fail the 'mission'.

That pretty much sums it up. I used to like CNN before that gave that dumb ***** Nancy Grace her own show. It's pretty sad when I feel like the most honest news in our country comes from The Daily Show on Comedy Central.
