I guess I'm the only person that is siding with Fox on this issue. Never thought that would happen. I'm not usually part of "Ban this sick filth!" but come on.

Hey, as long as it doesn't say "DO THINGS LIKE THIS, IT'S FUN" then it's not really bad, right? I mean, the game is outright telling you that these guys are assholes, so as long as they get what's coming to them then why complain? Also, it can serve to open peoples eyes who think terrorists are good guys.

I was actually surprised.

I thought this was going to be a OMG FOX likes a game for the first time.

I figured, brave American military, lots of guns, shooting foreigners, I thought it'd be a perfect piece of entertainment for Glenn Beck and the like, even if you had to teach them what the cryptic symbols on the buttons meant, as I believe they probably gave up on education after they struggled with the concept and meaning of 'A', 'B' was just too much.

EDIT: Just read the transcript and after promising a 'fair and balanced discussion' and the gamer expert pretty much stumbling thru and not knowing what to say, yet still blowing every argument out of the water, the host then finishes with:

Fox Host: You bring a violent game into a house with an 8 year old, nothing to stop that kid from playing it and becoming a terrorist...on a video game.

Now I've not seen the video, but to me, that pause is meant to sink in the idea that a game can change your child into a terrorist.

To be fair to the game, (for the record I have't played it, no money not moral high ground) you don't actually have to kill the civilians, everyone else does and you are "expected" to do likewise. It just seems wrong that so many people are defending it with such fervor. Also the developers obviously knew tthe media would pick up on this and in my eyes that was just a lazy way of stirring up interest.

I normally don't mind watching Fox, but if that's true, that's simply retarded. Although I won't let it bother me; CoD4 in my opinion was a below average game and MW2 looks just the same.

I believe in Fox. They always give us the truth and unbiased news, and they definatley do not want to force their conservative ideas on innocent people. And videogames are evil. Sex is evil. Thinking for yourself is evil. ALL GLORY TO HYPNOTOAD FOX NEWS!

On a more serious note you can really wonder why they do it. All those faulty claims they make on the things they dislike. I guess they want to control the stupid masses, since only retards could take what they say on there as the truth. After all, the 'stupid masses' involve most people.

P.S.: Anti-Fox News slant tends to take a seriously silly façade when after the White House itself engaged in it, they get slammed by Fox?s competing networks for doing so. Just saying?

I'd have to say again however, it IS rated M for Mature, and shouldn't be available to kids, and anti gamers NEVER ask the question, well how is the kid playing it, when they say 'oh but kids can get hold of these games and play them at home.'

I had porno mags in my bedroom when I was young, but damn, they got found soon enough.

(Actually I should praise my mother in this respect, while she had a horribly embarrasing chat about it with me, when I was wishing she'd just smack me and tell me off instead of discussing naked women, she ended up letting me keep em as they were just pictures of naked women and part of growing up, she just stated see didn't want to see anything 'stronger' in the house.)

I personally think the news , and even comedy news channels like Fox should be rated M too.
If it's bad to see aliens and zombies shooting each other, surely seeing real footage of actual people doing the kind of crap that gets them on the news shouldn't be getting seen by kids either.

Just have a kid's news show like they do on the BBC, it doesn't treat the kids like idiots, but doesn't focus on murder and rape quite so much.

As much as my country has problems at least somewhat objective journalism still exists. Mass media in America just seems to be a choice between hearing hillbillies on the right (FOX) hand and hippies on the left (MSNBC).

That pretty much sums it up. I used to like CNN before that gave that dumb ***** Nancy Grace her own show. It's pretty sad when I feel like the most honest news in our country comes from The Daily Show on Comedy Central.

just to make a point, the game is banned in like 5 countries and your upset because Fox news says people should buy the game due to the stupid terrorist scene. Come on they did the same thing over Mass Effect's Sex scene and people still bought the game. All Im trying to say is that though it is dumb of Fox to bring it up we should be more upset over the fact that many people aren't even allowed to play it. As for me, Im going to go have fun shooting Russians at an airport.

Expectable. The question was,not if they would do it. It was "would they mention you can skip it if shooting innocent people kind of disturbs you?" This episode is not just mindless violence - it's there to make a point about how extremism is OBVIOUSLY BAD.

It kinda saddens me that most gamers are too desensitized and cynical to even THINK about what they are doing.

Yeah that is kinda alarming, the apathy being thrown around about the scene and how people think it's funny.

I watched it but didn't partake, only at the end when you returned fire on the guards did I start to shoot and I still felt a little part of me die inside.
