Maybe theyll do it like the game 1916. You get a gun, but it does jack shit. You get flares, but they annoy the enemies instead of kill them. You get body parts (which you tear off of people(dont ask)), but you need to stop to grab more. You can sprint, but you can only go so far and your guy runs around like a crazy-armed-inflatable-tube-man.Wolfram01 said:I wonder what they're going to do differently. Probably has to do with enemies. In Penumbra and Amnesia there wasn't really a lot of enemies, and those that there were mostly just patrolled around and were somewhat easy to avoid. Scary as hell, but really not difficult. Except that one time... oh god... *shivers*
Maybe they'll add a weapon to the game, or at least a defence mechanism other than "Run away and hide in dark corner"
The gun should be powerful, but take ten minutes to reload, and have a 33% of exploding and maiming you.Flac00 said:Maybe theyll do it like the game 1916. You get a gun, but it does jack shit. Not to mention, THE ENEMIES ARE VELOCIRAPTORS WHO ARE SCARY AS, well VELOCIRAPTORS!
Computer experts? You mean it's a PC exclusive? The requirements for Amnesia were quite low, so you should be able to run this on a very dated machine, one you should have somewhere in the house these days.RaikuFA said:Oh great another game that no ones gonna be able to play except computer experts /sarcasm.
Heh, was different for me. Watched a bit of a play-through of people usually screaming themselves and what not. The guy playing it was talking to his friend over something, and in the game he was in a larder, when one of his friends said "Hey look I found a packet of milky ways"Angry Juju said:You probably know this already but you should avoid watching playthroughs entirely before playing the game first hand, they can easily ruin the gaming experience for youimnotparanoid said:HAI GUYS IM TO KOOL TO BE SCARED BY AMNESIA I WAN TA FRIKKEN MEDAL HERP DERP
OT:I am very happy about this, I loved Amnesia, although watching a playthrough before I played it somewhat ruiend it.
OT: the title is interesting, it's different. I will definitely be giving this game a try.
Yeah, but I didn't think I would buy the game till afterAngry Juju said:You probably know this already but you should avoid watching playthroughs entirely before playing the game first hand, they can easily ruin the gaming experience for youimnotparanoid said:HAI GUYS IM TO KOOL TO BE SCARED BY AMNESIA I WAN TA FRIKKEN MEDAL HERP DERP

Sarcasm my boy. I did have problems starting it up(turns out my driver needed a patch) but getting help to solve it... That was a nightmare. NO ONE wanted to help me at all because I'm not computer literate(been a console man, wanted to dabble in the PC world with the mods.). I'm just hoping AMFP didn't have Amnesias problem(something about them not making it compatable with all drivers).Vrach said:Computer experts? You mean it's a PC exclusive? Also, are you really complaining about a PC exclusive with the word "another"? Really?
Sarcasm in that sentence merely indicates you're unhappy with the fact you need expert knowledge to play it. So either you're using it wrong (double sarcasm attempt perhaps? That doesn't really work) or phrasing it wrong, but in either case, updating a driver is not a matter of computer expertise, it's basic knowledge you can pick up in a few minutes like programming your TV channels on a new TV.RaikuFA said:Sarcasm my boy. I didn't know it needed to be updated till someone told me it needed to. Whenever I started up the game it said "This program will not work." Googled it, took me to the Frictional site where I did EVERYTHING that was in their troubleshooting guide. My topic was ignored on frictional forums and had to go on Steam forums till I was told what was wrong.Vrach said:Sarcasm in that sentence merely indicates you're unhappy with the fact you need expert knowledge to play it. I don't think I've ever seen a troubleshooting guide for a piece of software that had the answer to a problem I was having. Kinda makes sense, what with the fact that if they knew about the problem, it wouldn't be in a troubleshooting guide, it'd be fixed.RaikuFA said:I didn't know it needed to be updated till someone told me it needed to. So yeah, gotta Google that stuff. Funnily enough, the first site to come up on a search with the solution to your problem was PirateBay
That said, for future reference, the first thing you do if you're having trouble with a game is making sure your drivers are up to date. You haven't specified which driver you needed to update (if it's something like graphics card drivers, that's really the very basics), though I understand if you needed to look up drivers for some other stuff, download a .dll file to sort it out or sth like that.
