Jesus, Amnesia terrified me beyond all hope, I'm amazingly excited for this, if it's as good as Dark Descent, I will need a nice 90 pack of undies.

Let's hope 'feverish visions' doesn't mean those cheap retarded flash scares like in Alan Wake. It most likely doesn't.

YES. I can't wait. I loved the first game (I wish my pants could say the same), and I hope they'll manage to pull off something equally as disturbing.

1899 and "A machine for pigs"
... Yea, they have a lot of stuff to work with that will make most anyone crap their pants here. Seriously... having read the Jungle, they have more atmospheric gore to work with here than any sort of murderous nutjob's mansion could ever hope to stockpile.

Let's Play a game.
I was thinking the same thing. Ever since Justine came out and took all the supernatural elements out of Amnesia and replaced it with a psychopath and her victims, I began to think that the writers had been watching too many torture movies. And then we hear this new title, that gruesome but strictly non-supernatural concept art, and that quote from the ARG ("the world is a machine for pigs, blah blah blah misanthropy blah blah blah nihilism"), I'm pretty sure this game is gonna force us to chop off somebody's bodily appendages. Whether we do this as a sacrifice to Cthulhu or not is yet to be determined.
I hope they move away from Lovecraftian horror. Lovecraft wrote some powerful works, but he has been reduced to a joke, really. It's sad but there's been an over saturation of Lovecraftian horror over the web, I'm not sure I can take him seriously anymore. Cthulhu's appearance in South Park really took the biscuit for me.

That being said I'm excited to see the direction they're taking and given the final hour or so of the previous game it will not be Torture Porn, rather it will have more in common with European expressionist literature and weird fiction, given the setting and the scant few details released, so, yes it will be dark. It could take you some grotesque places, but it will also be thoughtful in a very particular way.

Of course I could be wrong... but I doubt that, Frictional know what they're doing.

No chance of a console port i suppose? No? Thought so.

Guess i'll watch the fifty billion LPs that are sure to come out at launch instead...

The previous one didn't take much to run it... my crappy 250$ laptop ran amnesia. albeit at the lowest quality, but that made it scarier.

Yeah my laptop is pretty much the same price point but has an exploded battery now XD. But didn't Amnesia have problems with certain video cards? My laptop refused to run even the demo due to video card related reasons if i recall correctly.

That and whenever this super awesome new HD horror epicality comes out my laptop will just suck even more due to updated everythings. I have literally no faith in it at all, at least consoles will actually run everything 99% of the time.
