Nothing has happened to me yet today, although I did see a guy walking around in a mask with some kind of bloodied axe.

It's going terrible for me, I'm currently at an abandoned summer camp being chased by a waterlogged hockey nut with a machete, if your wondering how I'm typing this up now, I found a laptop in the old mess hall, so... Wait! It's a trap, he's coming, I'd better find an axe of something that beats a machete.

Joking aside, I've never had anything terribly unlucky happen to me on Friday the 13th, then again I've always been the lucky sort who finds change on the ground all the time.

Well, I got hit in the face with a football earlier, and it bent my glasses out of shape. But I fixed them ,so they're all good.

But today I discovered that the kickpedal for my Guitar Hero drums has had its wire snapped. Didn't HAPPEN today, but not a good thing to find out in any case...

Erm. I'm getting a plane at 4am tomorrow morning and the scales decided that today would be the day they pack up so I have no idea if my bag will be allowed on the plane.

And my friend lost £100 this morning. That's pretty bad.

EDIT: Dunno about my friend but I fixed the scales!

My friend is having his b-day at a pool and then we are going to a drive in theater. So I will either drown or have a giant screen fall on me.

My parents were married on Black Friday. Hence my general disregard for superstition.
Black Friday, what's that again? Is it something economic, or am I getting it mixed up with Black Monday?
Black Friday = Friday the 13th.
In America, Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving, so named because Retailers go into the black (finally).

Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. The term dates back to at least 1966, although its usage was primarily on the East coast. The term has become more common in other parts of the country since 2000. Because Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, Black Friday occurs between the 23rd and the 29th of November. According to Reuters, in 2007 135 million people participated in the Black Friday shopping rush.[1]
Black Friday is not an official holiday, but as many workers have the day off as part of the Thanksgiving holiday, this increases the number of potential shoppers. Retailers often decorate for the Christmas and holiday season weeks beforehand. Many retailers open extremely early, with most of the retailers typically opening at 5AM or even earlier. Some of the larger retailers (depending on the location) such as Sears, Best Buy, Macy's, Toys "R" Us, and Walmart have been reported to open as early as midnight on the start of Black Friday in localized areas and remain open for 24 hours throughout the day until midnight the following Saturday. Upon opening, retailers offer doorbuster deals and loss leaders to draw people to their stores. Although Black Friday, as the first shopping day after Thanksgiving, has served as the unofficial beginning of the Christmas season at least since the start of the modern Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, the term "Black Friday" has been traced back only to the 1960s.

The term "Black Friday" may have originated in Philadelphia, where was used to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic which would occur on the day after Thanksgiving. (see Origin of the name "Black Friday" below). More recently, merchants and the media have used it instead to refer to the beginning of the period in which retailers go from being in the red (i.e., posting a loss on the books) to being in the black (i.e., turning a profit).

Hm. I have to tell my current boss that I'm leaving for a new job (that pays %50 more); not unlucky, per se, just uncomfortable.

I've never really given much credence to the whole Friday 13th schtick. Any Friday is usually a good day, because it's the start of the weekend. Time to stand the boys to a round.

I just woke up. I guess I have the misfortune of being tired. Yep, worst luck all day.

So what does it mean if a black cat startled me while I was walking under a ladder causing me to open an umbrella indoors resulting in a broken mirror?

Had a major, inexplicable iTunes fuckup on today of all days. It decided it didn't want to sync with my iPod, so I had to restore it to factory settings. It then took a dislike to about a quarter of my music library and simply refused to upload those songs, so I had to then delete everything and re-add it to iTunes, accompanied by much swearing and violent gestures. Happily, everything now appears fine (I'm sure it won't be, but it seems to be as of now).

So what about you, Escapists? Any tales of misfortune and ill chance today?

PS: On a side note, my sister was born on Friday 13th.

Well, I managed to sell a copy of Mario Kat Wii for $35 and a copy of Super Mario Galaxy for $25.

All in all, pretty good day. Considering that I have an extra five dollar bill I can use to buy Starcraft 2 :D

*has only just realized it's Friday the 13th*
Anyway, I never have bad luck when it's Friday the 13th ...It's normally the day before.
Nothing epically fail happened yesterday, but I fell out with someone I love, and my day was just basically shit. Oh well. ^_^
