What Rebecca & her executive fail to realise is that we dont her. We're not saying its shit to be arseholes to her but because its just that we genuinely dont like that song.

The reason why she & most other amerteur talents dont get screened & rejected by big time record labels is because they're investing lots of money that they wanna see a return plus profits. They invest lots of money on professional songwriters, sound engineers & singing lessons. They dont gamble with this sort of thing.
Her mum payed $2000 to a no name amerteur record label who just auto-tune the shit out of anyones voice & make up a video clip for them if they have the cash. The trouble is people are raised to believe that theirs is a hidden talent & if they can get their name out everything will end happily ever after.

With the right professionals, equipment & singing lessons she has the potential to make it big. But if you go cheap you get cheap. Simple as that.

CYBERBULLYING!!! I NEED AN ADULT!!!
I AM AN ADULT!!!!!!!! (Dragonball Z Abridged, watch it, lol, profit)

OT: I kinda feel sorry for the kid. The company is making money off whatever talent they had, and threw the girl under the bus by letting her take the heat for singing their stupid song.

not a fan of pop, but i wish her the best of luck and i hope she learns from this.
NAAAAAAAAAIIIIILLLLLLLLL!
STOP MAKING OUT WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND!!!
I CAN HEAR IT FROM IN HERE!!!

AHA! It's pre-written!!! That explains the horror of it all!!

I thought Rebecca Black had a decent voice, but it's the lyrics that make the song bad. They have literally no meaning other than face value. If she didn't write it, then I don't blame her.

Yesterday was Thursday/Today is Friday...tomorrow is Saturday/and Sunday comes afterwards/...you'd have to lack the ability to sing to write a song that bad.

However, if she did write the lyrics then she shouldn't be so surprised.

Fame is a drug far more potent than cocaine, and far more damaging.

See Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, The Beatles, Glenn Beck, etc. etc. etc.
I don't think Michael Jackson or the Beatles belong in that list. They didn't go insane and/or annoying from fame. Well...the Beatles didn't. Michael Jackson...the jury's out. He would probably have been batshit no matter his career path.

Lol "Cyber bullying"?

Even if it was, She put herself into the position to receive it. At 13 she had no need to make this "music", more so if She cannot handle the fact people think it's a pile of stinking shit.

Sorry lady but you put out something this horrible and you lose the right to cry over the "undue" hate it generates.
I would say this would be like Hitler wondering why everyone hates him except your song caused me more pain than Hitler ever could... (sorry to pull a Godwins but it had to be done.)

The most interesting thing about this song though is that pretty much all the covers are much, much better. People with real talent can take even this horrid abortion of a song and actually make it something approaching good.

Shows what a ounce of talent can do.
this little girl is a great singer, a great guitar player, shes not camera shy and she is happy with what shes doing. only problem is she chose the worst song in history to be tatented with and furthermore actually liked it. i think she should get a good song writer and start a music career. then i will see if industry turns her into a pop loving pshyco rock wannabe.
You thought that girl (Kali or whatever) was being serious about liking "Friday"? I'm pretty sure she was trying not to giggle when she called it a good song.

if any of you TRULY didn't care... then you would give her the views.
This.... doesn't make sense.
What I'm saying is that if people really hated her song, they wouldn't listen to it. Or express their apparent undying hate toward it. They wouldn't give two shits about her; or her song. People just love to complain. It's really quite amusing.
Yes.

People love to enjoy train wrecks. This is one of the worst songs I've ever heard, and I can't stop listening to it.

Not that I hate her or her song, just that the auto-tuned feeling just made me unhappy with it.

There are a total of 2 tones sung for the first verse until she says she's at the bus stop, which is a lot of monotonous singing... and then she gets in a car with what looks like a 12 year old at the wheel... but seriously... SUNDAY COMES AFTERWARDS, how shit can you possibly make the lyrics?

Also it's not "We so excited" it's fucking "We ARE so excited" *****. Really pisses me off.

That said I've listened to it about 4 times now and I really like it in a novelty shit song kind of way.

I'll keep an eye out for her. If she releases something else and it actually showcases talent, I won't be hating so much. For that matter, I don't hate her, I just don't think, based on the one example we've been given, she should be allowed anywhere near the music industry.

We'll see. If she makes a good song next, I'll soften up. For now, Friday was terribad.
