I disagree. I think the real culprits are the people who convinced a thirteen year old girl to do this.

It wouldn't be very hard to write a bad song and convince a 13 year old American girl to record it in hopes of "fame". I think you are being overly harsh of her - she's just a kid.

I think the "hate" should be directed at the person who wrote this song, the mother and the record company.

But hey - it achieved what they wanted. Everyone is talking about it and it is probably making a lot of money.

I don't get the comparison to Justin Bieber. His music, while boring, has at least a little merit. Her music is.. well, terrible. The lyrics are awful, the rythm is off, the singing doesn't match the music at times, the message is completely stupid, and she looks like she's mentally handicapped when she's on camera.

I feel sorry for this girl, she has been exploited so that other people can make money. I want to know where the responsible adults were to advise her? If not against this then at least to make her aware of the pitfalls. People seem to forget she is only 13. I did all kinds of dumb shit long after I was 13. Sounds like the pushy parents are as much to blame as the record company.

If you put something in the public it is open to criticism. The personal comments, although they were always going to happen and she should have been made aware of them, were not needed. This is a 13 year old child we are talking about, probably with self esteem issues from all of the performing she does.
