Saskatchewan, Toronto and Quebec, the places the rest of us love to pick on. Really, Toronto and Quebec deserve it was more though. From what I've seen, people from Saskatchewan aren't that bad. They can't drive worth a damn, but no one from the prairies can, because mountain roads here in BC aren't straight, which is an adjustment for prairie folk. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're as nice as Newfies, but they're not Torontonians by a long shot.

(Note, this was largely a joking post. I'm sure there are decent people from Toronto, and a good friend of mine is from Montreal originally. Albertans really can't drive worth crap on BC roads though.)
Really. You do know that the Crows nest goes through heavy mountians. Ever drive Jasper to Banff past Athabasca falls? Honestly man, I have fished enough in BC to know how to drive and understand gearing through the mountains just as well as anybody (save for a logger and the like).

But I'll agree with that statement and Vancouver. What moron designed the road from TransCanada into downtown Vancouver anyways? Jesus. Everything outside the mountains turns into a congestion shit pit.
OK, yes, parts of Alberta also have mountains, and people from or frequently in those parts know what the fuck they're doing. However, take your average person from, say, Medicine Hat (apologies to anyone from Medicine Hat, I picked a city in Alberta without going with the typical Calgary/Edmonton), and they'll be pretty bad. And the ones that are confident are almost worse. When roads twist as much as they do here, you should not be doing 140.

And Vancouver's basically a slightly smaller Toronto with less smog and more rain.
I dont know, I dont know many Albertans that don't love going to B.C. Me thinks the average Albertan family has been to that little Canadian slice of heaven a few times. The average 2nd generation min family lets say. Ever been to Bella Coola? Shit man, you want to see heritage, go there. I'm sick of fighting with my fellow Canadians that arent the jagoff that made this thread.
I agree about the being sick of fighting fellow Canadians. There are a crap-tonne of different kinds of people everywhere. Besides, we need to stick together against people who try to take advantage of us because of our reputed politeness. And I imagine most of the world would consider our assholes (like OP) par for the course.

Agreed man. Right on, good to meet yet another patriotic Canadian. Thumbs up from over here. Heh, our reputed politness is honour and pride I say. Strength is to give respect unless proven the other person can't give respect back. Thats my Canada, and I bet your idea aint too far off, am I right? True North strength man.

And yeah, no matter how many good shits there are, theres always a few assholes, eh?

You don't get to rant about a place if you can't spell it, it's the Canadian code. Saskatchewan's not bad actually, I find it better then backwoods British Columbia, which is primarily filled with bloody hippies or insane drug op folks who TRAIN BEARS to defend their crops.

Can't beat Quebec north of the Golden Highway though, don't know how many times I heard someone whisper 'Anglais Esti d'tapette de calisse' when I tried to check into motels. Quebec: the only place in the world where the word for baptism is also the word for shit.
Osti has nothing to do with baptism, and neither dose a Chalice... BTW Osti is French for flat bread.

And yes, many rural French towns here in Quebec hate English speakers, but hey, at least the city isn't so bad when it comes to that. I will agree with bad drivers though, fucking hell there are some damn bad drivers up in this *****.
Wasn't talking about my statement when I commented on baptism, baptism is baptême in French, but it's also slang for shit. Most of Quebecois' more severe 'swear words' are actually related to the Catholic Church, like tabarnak refering to the tabernacle on the altar. To translate what they called me, through slang, it's 'fucking English homo'. French slang is weird, I've picked up a bit of it in Vanier and Hull so my sentence structure is probably a little incorrect, but even words like calisse are just corruptions of words like calice, which means chalice. Ostie refers to the host at church, hence why it's flat bread. Quebecois swearing focuses more on voice patterns and expression then actual words. Most of these can be used in a normal conversation as well, it just depends on how you say it. At least, that's what I understand after living in Hull for awhile (never again).
