Online play can be very bad for my blood pressure/faith in humanity/sanity, especially if I'm not on a team with people I know. It's just scary how good some people are. My friend being one of them, if he's not at work, he's on MW2. Well that or out to the clubs. It's inter-changable.
Heh.

It's not great for my blood pressure either, as you can see here:

Leviathan made me put Dead Space on hold. And all the FFS experiences I've had in online CS:S, COD2 and COD4 have put me off of getting back into all multiplayer shooters.
Leviathan was a warm summer's day picninc compared the fucking meteor shooting bit. That was so badly designed...

Quicktime moments. Not a bad idea in Resi 4, bad in most other games, and possibly the single most psychosis-inducing part of Mercenaries 2.
Lemme correct that for you:
QTEs: Not a bad idea 30 years ago when controllers had one stick and one button and that was the only way you could have a game that looked as good as Dragons Lair.

My most frustrating FT moment of the past couple of years was the No More Heroes boss battle that's just a cutscene. The Boss battles were the only really entertaining bit of that game and they copped out on one that looked pretty interesting going in. It didn't help that that boss' level was a long plain gray corridor with the occasional punk jumping out at you.
I started renting again after that.

Oh, here we go...

Final Fantasy XIII: Boss Fight, Enki & Enlil. Brynhildr. Barthandelus. Cid Raines. Alexander...and that's where I said F*CK THIS and took the game to the video-game orphanage.

Guitar Hero III: Final set and Final Boss on any difficulty other than Easy or, Medium [unless you're playing with your controller, than take away Medium as well]

Heavy Rain...mainly for trying to convince me that it is both a game and a serious drama after allowing me to make my characters schizophrenic and, giving me non-QTE controls more face-eatingly evil than the control scheme of the first 2 Resident Evil titles

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga
The hidden super overkill boss fight with the demi-fiend (main character from Lucifer's Call)

Oh yeah, trust me, that's a "Fuck this" moment.

That, and the optional super boss known only as 'Penance' from the PAL version of Final Fantasy X.

"FUCK THIS!"

Probably that sequence in half life 2 episode 2 where you need to deflect falling debri from the glass lift you have to ride to the bottom floor.
You need to be very exact or suffer death, and every time you fail you hear the sickening crack of the glass which got on my nerves after awhile.

I could probably think of something way worse but that would require more thinking time.

Online gaming does this to me often. I can barely play anything other than Red Orchestra or Left 4 Dead 2 anymore.

That and the incredibly difficult Timesplitters 2 challenges. Trying to hurl a brick through 36 windows in 18 seconds.

Waaaaaah.
Screw the challenges in Timesplitters. Any of them. Some are all, "Ha ha, shoot melons off monkey's heads" and then suddenly you're like "HIT 50 melons in 20 seconds for gold?!?".

For some reason it was the opposite for me. Maybe I just needed to put more time into beating Leviathan, but I no longer have the patience to slog through the same scenario over and over and over again. I'm a huge fan of the auto-save...

Darn you cunning ninjas.

That, expect I was playing on normal and it still took me two days to get it done.

And I freaking rule at RTSes.

Edit: Oh yeah, the Favela level in MW2. It was hard on normal, but veteran? Forget 'bout it.
oh snap y'all just hit two points of mine
yeah I got my butt kicked so badly twice by that Super Scarab...so I just ended up blitzkrieging everything with tanks (remembering what Yahtzee said about embarrassing General Patton hahaha)

Favela...you have to kill everyone. EVERYONE just to get to the next checkpoint...never ever playing that level again

This may seem a little strange, but Mario Kart used to drive me insane. Watching the AI come speeding up behind you during the tournaments made me ridiculously angry.

Also, as has been mentioned repeatedly before, the Favela. Aaaaghhhh!
Luckly, my friend came along right as I got there, so I let him play and laughed at his swearing.

The outdoor moments in Metro 2033. I go bankrupt buying air filters but my character still somehow runs out of air? BULL!

Thank god I only rented that game

This happens to me a lot, in tons of different shooting games, from Red Orchestra to MW2. Me and an enemy exchange some bullets, but we both survive. One of us finds cover, or retreats out of sight. I decide to throw a grenade, and just as I'm priming one, the enemy pops out and blows my face off.

This once happened to me in MW2 when I had 9 kills, out of 10 I needed to get the AC-130...

Falkner's Pidgeotto constantly healing itself in Soul Silver made me want to punt the DS onto the runway (I was playing it in the airport).

And he's the fucking first gym leader!

The Elizabeth Greene "boss fight" towards the end of Prototype's story. The fact that she has three health bars that are nearly impossible to get to, green orbs that track you through buildings, ect. Yea. I said "Fuck This" and played some Dragon Age instead.

CoD4 - The hold out at the ferris wheel. Endless enemies, only a sniper rifle and no good places to hide. That ended my game. I was done with it. There is now a dent in the wall strangely shaped like the corner of a xbox controller.

CoD:WaW - The entire game gave me the "Fuck this" feeling about the entire CoD series. I don't ever want another CoD. Moronic switching between US and Russian personas and weapons. Only 160 achivos for full playthough, BS. I got 260 from CoD4 and never even finished the game. Byby CoD, ALL of them.
