Whats the funniest movie you have seen that is younger and older than 5 years old
Saw "The Other Guys" the other day FREAKIN HILARIOUS!!!
as for the over 5 years old movie I would say either Anchorman or Monty Python Holy Grail.

My vote would go for 'Abigails Party' very dry and if anyone in America decides to track it down I don't know how well the humour transfers but to my mind the funniest film I have ever seen.

Also includes in my opinion one of the more obscure references to it in the simpsons (the 'hat day' in the nuclear plant, the panning shot of people looking suicidal with the country song playing, I am sure one of the characters was in Abigails Party).

p.s. I don't care if it was made for TV it is still a film (In the UK we don't tend to have a made for TV film culture).

p.p.s. Stranger Than Paradise comes in a close second.

I probably going to have to go for The Naked Gun series, Leslie Nielsen's funniest trilogy.

The first time I saw The Life of Brian I could barely contain myself. My stomach hurt all day afterward. The funniest film I've seen recently would probably be Four Lions, a parody of Jihadi Islamist terrorists in England. It is fucking. HI-LA-RI-OUS.

Shaun of the Dead is one of them, but it squeezes into the over 5 years category. I the only new film I thought was pretty funny was Kick Ass, although Zack and Miri, and Accepted win honourary awards

Younger than five years... Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

Older than five years... ergh, toss-up between Holy Grail, Airplane!, and Ghostbusters. Depends on my mood at the time.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is actually my all time favourite comedy, so that for the older than 5 years.

As for younger....Hot Fuzz.

Hm... Kung Pow is awesome... though not really the funniest i have EVER seen, i guess.
The old ZAZ-movies are still good, as are Monty Python of course.

Older: Not sure, but I'll say Monty Python and the Holy Grail, as I think it was funny. Can't remember much of it, but...I'll still say it.
