Right off the bat everything mentioned so far especially Kira Must Die's list.

Other than that Pani Poni Dash,it's goofy and fun and has the most pathetic little bunny who is funny as hell. Kind of like Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei(both are from the same studio,Shaft) was even more insane and with out the political undertones.

Baka to Test:Summon the beast,it has some action early on but becomes more of a slice of life comedy with an idiot protagonist. However ever he is not just you're typical idiot lead he is the idiot lead bar none.Everyone knows it and most of the comedy comes from that. Also fair warning, there is copious amounts of delicious trap fanservice to the point of parody.I haven't watched the second season but I've heard it's pretty good.

Irresponsibly Caption Tylor, a parody of the space opera genre where again the lead is a total lucky idiot. Very funny with the added bonus of trying to figure out if Tylor is really that stupid or a chess master extraordinaire.

Hidimari Sketch: to me the best of the cute girls do cute things genre. It's kind of hard to explain why it's so funny so just watch a few episodes to see if it's for you or not.

Finally The Slayers,it's a parody of your standard fantasy setting with occasional serious moments but it's usually just cracking jokes and taking the piss out of what ever tropes it gets it's hands on.Also surprisingly for a comedy it has a very fleshed out set of rules for it's magic system. Has very likable characters and the humor stays sharp for the most part. It has five seasons of anime,5 movies and a smattering of OVA's most of which are enjoyable(avoid the fifth movie Premium unless your a fan of nothing happening and find bad gay stereotypes hilarious).
Listen to this person. I was going to mention both Slayers & Irresponsible Captain Tylor myself.
Tylor is a *must* *see* in addition to the hilarity, it has the *most* *awesome* space battle *ever*.
Really. You will not believe it when you see it.

Also for zany humor, I *Love* Urusei Yatsura-The Return of Lum, but it is very dated, not everyone's
cup of tea.
From what liitle I've seen of it,I'd give it a watch along with some Rumiko Takashi's other works(Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkou)

if your not japanese or a fluent japanese speaker, what you said means literally nothing
your just saying that because of the SWAG effect, it isnt affecting your experience at all, your saying that because its cool ( you think its cool) to watch it that way, with no justifiable basis , like those people who say they get their hings you can get in country(very well may i add) imported just to look fancy.

it really effects nothing
If it doesn't effect anything then what does it matter if someone watches it subbed or dubbed?

Maybe just simple preference?
its perfectly fine

jus dont attempt to add logic to why you do it, when the action is nonsensical in the first pace. besides this particular dub as bad acting, or you being familiar or born into the language of origin,( even then shows like shin Chan have changed the the whole dub and it came out awesome) its no real reason to say you prefer japanese dubs over american ones

if you do thats fine

but dont attempt to add objective logic to why you prefer blue over purple, its your favorite damn color, thats it.
But then that's what every "subs or dubs" discussion usually turns into. The dub side claiming that you can't focus on what's on screen while having to read, and the sub side stating that American voices suck.

Even the opinion that the Cowboy Bebop dub is far superior is just a preference.

the only valid point is acting and still then its a preference though its a valid one, you ever watch slayers. yeeeesh.

and then the only other valid point would apply to fluent speakers of japanese
Well, there's also the fact that some people were simply raised on subtitles. I'm from Holland and practically everything that isn't meant for little kids is subbed. I watched shitloads of movies as a kid (and still do now), and apart from Disney every other movie had subtitles.

Also, before the advent of DVDs, we had to make due with anime on VHS which was dubbed 90% of the time. And these were the notorious 80's/90's dubs. So there's some bitterness there, too, from the sub camp.

There are some anime dubs I prefer over the original, like Ghost in the Shell, Street Fighter 2, and Dragon Half.

oh wow cool, though being raised on something doesn't exactly make it better, but you prefer it and that's all that counts
I didn't say it made it better, I just posted it as a legitimate example of why some people prefered one over the other.

Gintama
Panty and Stocking
The World God Only Knows

I highly recommend Gintama, apart from some really boring first few episodes it's easily one of the very few shows out there that had me laughing so much it was downright painful. The World God Only Knows is also fantastic due to its crazy protagonist and hilarious premise.

How about Excel Saga?

The heroine, Excel, has just graduated from high school and is stoked to the point of mania about her first day at work - as a lackey to wannabe evil overlord Ilpalazzo. She is literally too dumb to live, to the point where the universe itself has to keep bringing her back to life just so the story can carry on.

Each episode parodies a different genre of anime, and nothing about the show takes itself the least bit seriously. Japanese cultural in-jokes abound, so unless you're some kind of super-otaku, you'd be well adviced to seek out the out-of-print Imperfect Collection from ADV, which features optional pop-up explainations about the more obscure elements.
Thank you for this! This is exactly what I was looking for :D I'm at episode 7 now, and I'm loving it! Il Palazzo-samaaaa!

Furthermore I'm watching Nichijou, funniest thing since sliced bread :')

Mind to share these psychological and horror anime? I myself am looking for them.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, Aoi Bungaku, Shinreigari Ghost Hound, Paranoia Agent, Ga-Rei Zero, Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou Tou, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Another, Highschool of the Dead (pantsu, ecchi content), Texhnolyze, Gantz, Serial Experiments Lain(kind of slow, but definitely worth mentioning) and Steins;Gate are some good examples of horror, psychological and thriller anime

One Piece come to mind (however it's a really long series).
I came here and considered saying this, so yeah.

I don't necessarily follow it for its humor, but I do enjoy it. It's also the only example of what you might call 'Shounen humor' that is done well (i.e. doesn't make me cringe)

Decent example of the show's humor.

And this is a good example of a dramatic scene. Also good because there is a small bit of humor too.

I loved My Bride is a Mermaid (Seto no Hanayome). It was hilarious, and it is available for free on Hulu.
I'm currently watching that series on Funimation and it's absolutely insane.

A couple off the top of my head that I thought were pretty amusing;
xxxHolic OVA
Heaven's Lost Property
Desert Punk
Black Butler
B Gata H Kei : Yamada's First Time - one of my personal favorites as Yamada is a total train wreck in it.

There are plenty of others but their names escape me at the moment.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!

I love how it makes me cringe everytime i see the chuunibyo-ness of the characters.
Also I like Fuuta in Sakurasou no pet na kanojo.
The lines are very well delivered and always makes me laugh,

I read that as Furry Anime.

I'm in the wrong thread.

EDIT: Although, I'd recommend rewatching ones you watched in your childhood (Dragon Ball Z and the like). They're unintentionally hilarious.

Ah good, I thought I would have to make my own thread for this, anyways.

PANTY AND STOCKING WITH GARTERBELT!

Can't recommend it enough for a funny anime. I see you don't like dubs, but this one you should seriously consider unless you like Engrish cursing such as...

But I seriously suggest you watch the English version, they modify the original Japanese so that the dialog is less awkward and more fitting for the English language.

Also, Ouran High School Host Club, Lucky Star, Princess Jellyfish, all fine choices.

But seriously, Panty and Stocking with Garterbet is without a doubt my all-time favorite anime!

I agree with watching the dub as well.
I don't like dubbed anime. It's kind of like watching a James Bond movie in german..
Usually I'd agree with you, I'm not a fan of dubs myself. But with these it's for added effect in the hilarity department. I get what you mean, though :D

full metal panic and fumuffu.

have a excellent combination of comedy action and alittle romance
I second that! Especially the last episode of Fumoffu, I was crying with laughter. It has its own unique sense of humour!

Aside from that, Ouran High School Host Club is pretty funny =)
