Tstorm, explain to me the difference between the behaviour youre condemning and yours.

I say this knowing you will have some elaborate justification that you only behave this way because of the people you're interacting with. Which will be hilarious because you will say it without any self awareness.
Do you have any idea how many novels worth of content I've written on this website? Hell, low content posts used to be against the rules, if I recall correctly. A lot of you would have been tossed out of the forums if you acted like you do 10 years ago.

Good Samaritan's death prompts investigation after witnesses say he was forced to ground

GARRET ROBERTS Beaver County Times

CENTER TWP. — An investigation is underway after witnesses say an off-duty police officer killed a good Samaritan who was assisting the victim of a local shooting.

The incident occurred while 48-year-old Kenneth Vinyard was helping the victim of a shooting in the parking lot of Center Township's Walmart Plaza on Sunday evening. Attorney Joel Sansone, who is representing Vinyard's family, said Tuesday that Vinyard was killed after a plainclothes officer confronted him and forced him to the ground, where he struck his head.

"According to eyewitnesses who we (have) spoken with, who are not (connected) to Mr. Vinyard, this was not a push: it was a takedown," Sansone said. "The officer apparently put his arm across Mr. Vinyard's chest and basically threw him to the ground, landing on top of him and bringing his weight down, which is something we just learned this morning."

State police confirmed via a press release on Monday that they are investigating Vinyard's death. As of Tuesday evening, the officer under investigation has not been publicly identified by state police or the Center Township Police Department.

"The county policy on issues arising from police use of force requires that the investigation be conducted by an outside agency," said Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier. "The state police are conducting that investigation. We also must wait for the autopsy and labs and medical issues before we make any decisions. Those labs and the medical evaluation will take several weeks. We need patience so we can do this right."

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. after an Aliquippa man was accused of shooting a male one time after an altercation in the parking lot between Walmart and Staples. Stores were locked down and people were advised to wait inside as authorities looked for the shooter, who police identified as 23-year-old Yeshua Bratcher.

While police searched for Bratcher, later apprehending him near Lowe's in the shopping plaza across Route 18 from Walmart, Sansone said Vinyard heard the shot and rushed to offer first aid to the male victim until first responders arrived.

Kenneth Vinyard, 48, was killed on Sunday evening while he was assisting a shooting victim in Center Township.

"The witness I just spoke to told me (Vinyard) was amongst the people that were crowded around the victim," he said. "He had backed off, but he was continuing to try to help. According to the witness, he was in no way belligerent or inappropriate. He was simply a citizen who was attempting to render aid and to continue to be helpful."

Sansone said that as first responders arrived, witnesses saw a man approach Vinyard and ask him to back away from the scene. At the time, Sansone said this man was not in a police uniform and did not immediately identify himself as an officer.

"The police officer said to him 'back off' or something to that effect," he said. "Then he said, 'Backup or I'm going to arrest you,' as he threw him to the ground. So, the first time that Mr. Vinyard would have known that he was a police officer was as he was being thrown to the ground. If he had said 'I'm a police officer,' or 'I'm going to arrest you,' then left him alone, we believe that this would have never happened."

Original reports indicated Vinyard was fatally injured from a push from this man, but Sansone said new evidence being reviewed from witnesses indicates the action was a deliberate effort to send him to the ground.

"It was a takedown, deliberate," he said. "It wasn't just an excessive push, it was a deliberate effort to throw him to the ground. And this, in my view, may take this case from manslaughter to something more serious."

Sansone said the family is calling for an independent autopsy for Vinyard. They are also expected to file a suit at the federal courts in Pittsburgh in the near future.

Family members said they remember Vinyard as a sweet, passionate man and a loving father to his daughters. He was also acknowledged for his work as a truck driver, becoming a member of the Million Mile Club.

In the wake of his death, Vinyard's family has created a GoFundMe to support funeral costs. As of Tuesday evening, the family has raised over $7,000 from those sharing messages of support.

"Ken was such a hard-working, loving man who would do anything for his family," stepdaughter Ashley Steele said. "We have all suffered an unimaginable loss and appreciate everyone for your sympathy and support during this time."

Police have charged Bratcher with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and a firearms violation. He is being held at the Beaver County Jail without bail.

witter’s privacy and security teams are in turmoil after Elon Musk’s changes to the service bypassed its standard data governance processes. Now, a company lawyer is encouraging employees to seek whistleblower protection “if you feel uncomfortable about anything you’re being asked to do.”

The company’s chief privacy officer Damien Kieran, chief information security officer Lea Kissner, and chief compliance officer Marianne Fogarty have all resigned, according to two employees and an internal message seen by The Verge. Kissner confirmed their departure in a tweet on Thursday.

In a note posted to Twitter’s Slack and viewable to all staff that was obtained by The Verge, an attorney on the company’s privacy team wrote, “Elon has shown that his only priority with Twitter users is how to monetize them. I do not believe he cares about the human rights activists. the dissidents, our users in un-monetizable regions, and all the other users who have made Twitter the global town square you have all spent so long building, and we all love.”

The FTC reached a settlement with Twitter in May after the company was caught using personal user info to target ads. If Twitter doesn’t comply with that agreement, the FTC can issue fines reaching into the billions of dollars, according to the lawyer’s note to employees.
Do you know more about what’s going on inside Twitter? If so, I’d love to chat confidentially. You can reach me via email: [email protected] or through the contact form on my Linktree. Then we can set up a secure thread on Signal.

The note goes on to say that its author, who The Verge knows the identity of but is choosing not to disclose, has “heard Alex Spiro (current head of Legal) say that Elon is willing to take on a huge amount of risk in relation to this company and its users, because ‘Elon puts rockets into space, he’s not afraid of the FTC.’”

During a Twitter Spaces audio conversation with advertisers on Tuesday, Musk said that he wanted to rebuild the company’s software stack so that the same technology is powering the relevance of tweets and ads. “We have to be adventuresome here,” he said.

Musk’s new legal department is now asking engineers to “self-certify” compliance with FTC rules and other privacy laws, according to the lawyer’s note and another employee familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity to speak without the company’s permission.

Former Twitter outside counsel Riana Pfefferkorn noted in a tweet that the company’s FTC consent order requires the company to do privacy reviews before making changes to the product. That same FTC consent order requires Twitter to submit a compliance notice signed by predetermined officers of the company to the FTC 14 days after change in company control — which means Twitter owes the FTC a compliance notice today, 14 days after Elon took over.

One employee who spoke to The Verge said this week’s launch of the revamped Twitter Blue subscription disregarded the company’s normal privacy review, with a “red team” reviewing potential risks the night before the launch. “The people normally tasked with this stuff were given little notice, little time, and unreasonable to think it [the privacy review] was comprehensive.” None of the red team’s recommendations were implemented before Twitter Blue’s relaunch, the employee said.

“I anticipate that all of you will be pressured by management into pushing out changes that will likely lead to major incidents,” the Twitter lawyer wrote in the Slack message, which you can read in full below:
Twitter is a remote-first workplace, and has operated as such for years. It is a fundamental change to our employment contracts to require a 40hr a week in-office requirement. I do not, personally, believe that Twitter employees have an obligation to return to office. Certainly not on no notice (it at all).
I also remind all Tweeps (at least in the US) that we have an unlimited PTO policy. All Tweeps are able to take PTO. Perhaps today is a good day to take some rest and recharge.
Everyone here should also know that our CISO, Chief Privacy Officer and Chief Compliance Officer ALL resigned last night. This news will be buried in the return-to-office drama. I believe that is intentional.
Over the last two weeks. Elon has shown that he cares only about recouping the losses he’s incurring as a result of failing to get out of his binding obligation to buy Twitter. He chose to enter into that agreement! All of us are being put through this as a result of the choices he made.
Elon has shown that his only priority with Twitter users is how to monetize them. I do not believe he cares about the human rights activists. the dissidents, our users in un-monetizable regions, and all the other users who have made Twitter the global town square you have all spent so long building, and we all love.
I have heard Alex Spiro (current head of Legal) say that Elon is willing to take on a huge amount of risk in relation to this company and its users, because “Elon puts rockets into space, he’s not afraid of the FTC.” I have heard another leader in the Legal department say that because of the tight SLA’s (of two weeks?!) between product inception > launch, Legal will “have to shift the burden to engineers” to self-certify compliance with FTC requirements and other laws. This will put huge amount of personal, professional and legal risk onto engineers: I anticipate that all of you will de pressured by management into pushing out changes that will likely lead to major incidents.
All of this is extremely dangerous for our users. Also, given that the FTC can (and will!) fine Twitter BILLIONS of dollars pursuant to the FTC Consent Order, extremely detrimental to Twitter’s longevity as a platform. Our users deserve so much better than this.
If you feel uncomfortable about anything you’re being asked to do, you can call Twitter’s Ethics Hotline at (800) 275-4843 or submit a report at ethicshelpline.twitter.com. Please also note the FTC’s number is: 1-877-FTC-HELP. You may also remember that Mudge reached out to httos://whistlebloweraid.org
I wish you all luck. It’s been such an honor to work with all of you. And I’ll be taking a day of PTO today. 🫡💙
The Verge reached out to Musk for comment. Twitter no longer has a communications department.

That's enough, am bored and depressed now. Why am I not playing videogames!?

"This is an evil country."

Hey, what happened to "America: Love it or leave it"?
I don't think Nick Fuentes has ever espoused the latter position. I don't think he's ever been a Republican operative before either though. His primary M.O. is trolling conservatives.

He's the face of the people who elect Rs in primaries. You may disagree with him (understandably), but he hosts events that elected R officials go to and speak for. He is by definition a republican operative.

If it dies, it dies.

The bastard killed a man trying to save another person's life. WTF is wrong with some of these cops?! You're supposed to be helping them! Call in an ambulance or back up! The fucker better get life in prison, or death penalty, if the state supports it.

Yeah, for supposed freedom loving patriots, they seem to hate most everybody *and* democracy
They're fighting for their own freedom, while crushing and destroying others to feel good.

Do not cite the Deep Magic to me.

I was there when it was written.
