A competitive game lives and dies on the back of the community size and engagement, and concord entered a market where every major competitor was free, and charged a retail price.
So these new FREE entries don't lessen the truth about the market being oversaturated, they just don't represent any risk for a consumer to try them while they're new and hot.

Joke's on everyone, since this is all just prerendered anyway. You compare W3 prerendered Geralt and Yennifer to their ingame counterparts and they look quite different. They probably haven't even locked Ciri's design yet. Isn't the Witcher 1 remake supposed to come out before this anyway? This game'll be 7 years away.
I think you may be misremembering, I don't think Ciri had any romantic involvement in the Witcher 3 at all, & I've done 2 very involved playthroughs.
