One of the speakers was Elon Musk who argued the British government should be overthrown....uh I mean replaced(to presumably by the far right) as well as advocating for violence...uh I mean self defence against the enemies of the far right.
Unsurprisingly there was violence at the rally.

There was violence at the student march against tuition fees, over 10 years ago.
Way worse than what I've seen reported with this.
Don't get me wrong, I think Robinson (not his real name) is a shit stirring little toad but I think context is important here to point out this protest was less actually violent than the last time a bunch of students marched through London.
Unlike you, I was actually present at that as a protester. This is a complete lie.
No-one should give a shit about an American influencer getting shot, but this is what happens when huge quantities of US political money is targetted at the UK.
Tommy Robinson, for instance, is vastly richer than me, and I'm guessing most of everyone here, and a lot of that money has been funnelled to him from North America. Nigel Farage MP spends more time in America than he does representing his constituents, because he's chasing after their money.
According to Wikipedia, at the main demonstration in the 2010 student protests, 14 people were taken to hospital, of whom 3 were police officers.
In the right-wing protest over the weekend, it seems that 26 police officers were injured. Whilst it doesn't specify hospitalised, if twice as many police officers were injured as total injuries in the student protest years ago, it strongly suggests yesterday's protest was considerably more violent.
Or it means that students are shit at violence and need to get a lot better in case Faragist brownshirts decide to come for them.

I'm a little surprised it was that few protesters hospitalised. I saw police smashing indiscriminately at peoples' heads with batons (not people attacking them, note; just people who had been pushed into their riot shields), and they were carried away with blood streaming down. I saw police charge horses into a crowd once. And there was hours of kettling.
On the protesters' side, I saw some of them smash up a phone box, and I also saw protesters pick up a section of metal-looking fencing and shove it sideways into the police line, which could have injured someone. But the violence was overwhelmingly from the police.
Suggestion: seize Trump's NYC properties and turn them into low-income housing. It won't happen, but imagine it did, it would be so goddamn fucking funny.
There was no evidence Trump colluded with Russia. The NY DA literally ran on a campaign platform that she would go after Trump when a case didn't exist, then they made up a new way to get a felony conviction (that would be reversed if appealed). Then, Trump was removed from ballots for no reason. When did republicans ever do any of that?
If he did, he would've been charged, tried, and convicted of being an insurrectionist. Not one of those 3 things have happened.
