Furious at a poster!

On a different game site, I saw a post about the latest Kingdom Hearts games saying they would suck cause there's nothing but long cutscenes with bad dialogue and emo kids.

To say the least, I feel ready to reach into the screen and rip his bloated-uninformed head off.

Guess you can call me a KH fanboy, but posts like this just make me furious. I personally consider people who hate Kingdom Hearts to be childhood-less and "heartless" =P.

Do you ever feel furious at a poster on a forum for saying hateful/troll comments about a game/franchise that you adore?

Emo-kids part was right, but I still have yet to play a KH game I don't like. Still can't beat the first though.

Which one? The girl with unbridled optimism and solid determination to find her friends to reunite and be happy again, or the guy who always looks on the bright side and is willing to fight to make things right, and believes that saving people and making friends is happy awesome funtime?

I mean, okay, Riku can get a bit emo at times sure, but that's more "Emo-kid", singular.

Ofcourse, but it also depends on how they say it, if someone has good reason to not like it and comes with good backup info on why then it's less hatefull than when someone just sais it sucks for no resaon at all.
I actually got angry at Yahtzee for saying the Force Unleashed to the wii was bad because the motion controll was bad, I personally didn't agree, he was talking about swinging the wii mote when the best way is to in a "calm fast pace" swing the wii-mote while the picture i got was that he was running around and doing ballerina moves and that's not how to play on the wii. ^^

But everyone is so happy in Kingdom Hearts! I mean, Roxas is whiny at the start of number two, but otherwise they're all happy! And the cutscenes are not long, and I know Long Cutscenes, I played HAZE, Metal Gear Solid (All of them) and Assassins Creed. The cutscenes are miniscule in Kingdom Hearts.

Okay, yes the dialogue can suck at times, but I only noticed that during the second one at the start... God-Damn Seifer!

My bad, didn't see the "latest" games part. I was going for Roxas in KH2, along with the slight dip in general happiness after the first game.

Sure I see plenty of people bash things I like. I state why I think the game is good, but it boils down to the fact that it is an opinion and that likely won't change for people. Sure it is good to correct the mis-informed, but I wouldn't go so far as to bash somebody over the head about it.

If somebody is trying to get a rise out of me in the situation I generally peg them as a troll and leave it at that.

All right, I find it annoying that people insist on trashing games just because ZP talks about them. He's a CRITIC not a REVIEWER. There's a DIFFERENCE. CRITIC's find the smallest problems and complain about them, in ZP's case, humorously. A reviewer attempts to be fair. For example, "I had to tap X to run". Um, so you what would you prefer? A game where you are always running? That would be weird. "Auto-aim and Dead Eye make it too easy". Fine, turn it off. "It has glitches" and you never make a mistake? "It takes forever to travel and the other characters talk too much", HIT A!!! It will skip that bit...most of the time. When it doesn't it's normally story related anyways. Many of those people would be the same ones complaining that it had a weak story if those scenes were removed. GRR!!!

I wouldn't say emo either but Sora was really quick to hate anyone who was a Nobody looking for sympathy "Who cares you're just a Nobody" or something like that.

Just chill, maybe? It's not going to spoil your enjoyment of your game, so just navigate away from the thread. Or the page. You, and only you, have control over your emotions. Other people can provoke you, but it's YOUR choice whether to get mad or laugh and navigate away. Like, honestly, chill!

I mean, I like RTS games, but if I ripped off a human heads for every time someone said my favourite game was too long, too slow, too complex and too difficult, I'd be living in a headless suburb!

No not really, frankly i think i piss people off more than they can piss me off. I just dont care enough to really get upset although i might feel obligated to clarify or argue a point, but it is rarely lined with cynicism or genuine frustration.

BTW i never played KH but my brother loves it so thats good enough for me.
