Futurama, new tone?

Although I really do enjoy Futurama, I haven't kept up to date with it. That is a problem with me as I don't watch shows continually on a regular basis. Most times I've seen the show recently, it has been a rerun anyway.

In anycase, I'll need to marathon it and see if the tone of the show has really changed. But at the end of the day, if the characters are still as lovable as they were when I discovered the show, I don't care what happens to the political censorship or whatever.

Is there any western country other than the US where making fun of creationism would be seen as a political argument? Over here it would be viewed as being equivalent to making fun of people who believe the world is flat.

This. Futurama (and most things of Groenig origin) tends to satire the way in which we debate cultural issues, rather than those issues themselves.
