Man i wish this was a real game. I'm not trying to put down modders, i'm just saying Lucas Arts should of been spending their time coming up with cool stuff like this instead of that dumb clone wars cartoon.

I have a very good question:

Why is there no official Star Wars game like this? Call of Duty style gameplay fits perfectly with Star Wars. Lucas Arts, get on this.

I've got to hand it to this mod team, they've done a great job. Even though I don't have a PC that can run anything like Modern Warfare, this mod looks great and will probably be a lot of fun. I predict that this will go down in history like Counterstrike and Desert Combat as one of those mods that sees play for years and years.

Looks interesting but would much rather see a mod for Battlefield. Closer to Battlefront 3 y'know?

Because we got Battlefront and that's a damn good enough FPS.

That looks amazing, I seriously wish I had COD4 on the PC just for this!

As far as I'm concerned, that new CGI series is Non-canon. It has some slightly good or interesting aspects (Like how it went more indepth with the clone troopers in some episodes) But....it mis-stepped so hard on everything else that it literally broke it's foot off. Plus, need we forget we had an infinitely more superior clone wars cartoon made some years ago?


Dear lucasarts..drop the new CG one and declare it non-canon, rerelease a HD version of this clone wars series and then make Battlefront 3. And possibly a new Jedi Knight game.

The problem is Lucas himself. The man was always more interested in marketing Star Wars toys than in doing something with the IP. His target audience is pretty much small children, as evidenced by the prequels and the CGI cartoon. Also, he despises all the books and continuity that has sprung up around Star Wars. Sure, he created the universe, but I can't help but feel that the way he percieves what he created and how everyone else percieves it is fundamentally different.

Lucas Arts will not do anything good with Star Wars. I was honestly saddened a while back when Lucas Arts stated that they are cutting down on third party development. This means no more good SW games. LA's SW games are movie/cartoon tie-ins of inferior quality. The best SW media (after the original trilogy) is almost always done by people outside Lucas Arts (a few exceptions, but the key word here is "few")...

Aw. For a moment I had the illusion that this game mod was produced by actual black monkeys...

And while this is definitely an awesome mod, it isn't nearly as awesome considering it was made by Man.

Just wondering has anyone actually played this mod yet or is it only me? I played the beta version last week which due to some server messages I assume is the final version. Here is the IP to the server I played it on. 66.225.232.198:28930(server won't reply to let me double check but I am certain it was this one).

I actually have an epic day planned today of me and a friend playing battlefront. Ive dug out my old PS2 and everything. If this mod does well, then can we get battlefront 3?? Please?

It looks cool, but I'm a bit disappointed the actual part of the trailer I care about is 8 seconds at the end of it.

Oh why did you have to remind me of this. The way they butchered General Grievous after his awesome debut in the Clone Wars mini-series was pretty much the final straw for me and Star Wars. The Clone Wars mini series is perhaps the last best thing to be released by George Lucas and the only great piece of Star wars tv and film since the original trilogy.
