For me it was Tales of Symphonia. 6 replays and over 300 hours logged on that game. The only other game I've spent near that long playing was FFX, and that was only because it took so long to complete everything the first time around.
Considering my Steam rating has been around 10 for the past three or four months, Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2 can take the blame for my constant computer use..
I mean, girlfriends have been distracting me from gaming lately, but I shudder to think what'll happen in a few weeks when L4D2 is released!
I've already got the (Australian) demo, and with gore on, oh lawdy.
MMORPGs are the common culpirt, but I think that any game with progressive content which requires persistence in reward for more content is what really hooks me.
Ya playing borderlands at the moment and I can't stop playing it. I love when my friend gets on to co-op it up on roland but whenever hes not on I LOVE playing as lilith. Im a full time student with a girlfriend and already have logged 25 hours since i started playing it tuesday night. And I don't even want to know how long it would take to get all the damn achievements. Doubt i will really go for them all as I am not really an achievement getter but I will definitely go for some of the more fun ones.
Other than that I can't really think of many games I have been seriously addicted to. Hopefully Dragon Age will be good and give me a good blend of FPS/RPG in borderland and pure RPG in DA:O.
I haven't really been totally addicted to a game, but if theres one that I continue to replay over and over again after a cool down of a month or so, it would be JSRF. Think I might have beaten it over thirty times now and I still keep coming back for more.
