Live service games aren't anything close to a friend. Play them or don't, it's that simple.

I hate to judge how other people have fun, but if you can't stop playing any of the 5 mmos you might have a problem.

Then again, I'm probably not one to talk. Playing one mmo live service game sounds like a 3rd job(2nd would be raising a kid) so trying to keep up with multiple sounds completely overwhelming and I struggle to imagine how someone is able to do it.

I played Planetside 2 for more than eight years, and put up more than a hundred videos about it on YouTube. Then one day I realized that the game was making me toxic, so I immediately uninstalled it and cut ties with the community. It can be done, but you have to care about yourself (at least enough to not want to become an asshole).

You made the right choice. That is all that matters.

I try not to judge others, but there is goddamn limit to these things. If someone is playing 5 or more mmos/live-service whatever shenanigans, the person most likely has an addiction problem. If not that, they're just desperately jumping on to what ever is popular just to be "with it". Also not healthy.

I mean, we knew it already, but still nice to see an industry insider come out and say it

For a much longer but alsomore thorough explanation on why crypto and NFTs are pretty BS in general
I just posted the latter vid in the TV and Movies forum. Excellent watch. If the man's arguments aren't compelling enough, the absolutely cringeworthy behavior of the crypto bros he showcases should be enough to turn you off from this nonsense.

I found this video which is a couple years old at this point but its interesting. It's a decent comparison of Norse Myths in GOW18 versus actual Norse Myths and worth a look if you're interested how much they stuck to the originals(like the greek ones, not a lot, it turns out). Keep in mind this was made long before the trailer for Ragnarok so those aren't mentioned.

One of the design leads of the og Metroid Prime talking about behind the scenes things and how they achieved all kinds of in-game stuff.
