Theres like... 6 easily accesible suits. Just go get another.
There are? Well I had no idea, I thought the thing was unique. Like some kind of non-sentient companion or something. Goes to show how far I'm into the game despite like 30+ hours of gameplay time.
one for sure that I know of is in diamond city, I think you can buy it off a trader or something like that.

HOWEVER, there are multiple suits out there literally just sitting their like a turned off transformer, waiting for someone to bring it to life.

I remember running by this small plane that was half buried in the ground (from crashing and exploding) and literally a half put together suit was sitting right next to it, like it was no big fucking deal, almost ran right by the damn thing...conveniently it was right by a super mutant compound, so I strapped that baby on and went to town (literally).
There's one near a crashed vertibird west of the military outpost with the big antenna, where you go to get the silver medal of the farmer daughter. I shot it a dozen of time before realizing what it was

A Bethesda game that came out unfinished, full of bugs and glitches?
Colour me surprised.

If you need another one badly, there's one West of tenpines bluff. If you see a radar array it's another short trip west of that array, then follow the road to the north. On the east side of the road there's a crashed vertibird with a power armor just standing around.

Someone is going to build a mod with those light boxes in a 1920x1080 grid and then link it to those pip-boy games.

Captcha - Computer Charger - going to need it for the above mod.

I...can't actually remember if I went there on a main quest or not. That's how boring the main quest line is. I think the rest of the game is fantastic otherwise, but the main story sssssuuuuuucccccckkkkksssssss. I've been charging through it just to get it out of the way so I can focus on side quests and exploring later. It's just how I role-play. My character gets that "urgent" situation out of the way first, then does random jobs from people in an effort to survive. Continue until I do all side quests in the game, or until I get bored.

Anyway, I actually haven't crashed a single time. And that's after poking around in the .ini files with 25 hours on steam. I'm obviously lucky.

Well there we go, now its a Bethesda game launch, either way this is still miles better than New Vegas was.
New Vegas was such a mess I literally couldn't play it until months after release. It just sat on my desktop, teasing me. Hope I don't run into this bug myself. Fallout 4 is already crashing about half the time I fast travel.
That's because New Vegas wasn't a Bethesda game. It was an Obsidian game and Obsidian's record before New Vegas includes both KOTOR2 and Alpha Protocol. They seem to have a knack for creating games that people go "oh the story was great but it was buggy as hell".

In any case it really doesn't surprise me that Fallout 4 is buggy but less buggy than New Vegas. I'm actually surprised bigger bugs than this haven't come up yet.
Indeed, though it was also horribly buggy because the game's development cycle was cut way down as well. I never really ran into many bugs with Alpha Protocol though, I just remember loving the crap out of that game.

So THIS is the bug that gets posted where people should just basically avoid a location till a fix comes around, but the black screen crash on startup where people have to avoid the GAME till it's fixed for a bunch of PC setups isn't?

Seriously, I've read almost a dozen threads on different sites where people(including me) can't even start the game because of some random undefinable "Access Violation" error.
For some lucky people this can be fixed by borderless window, messing with resolution, updating/downgrading drivers, removing intro files, creating Save folder by hand, forcing Dx11.1 through WinSDK or out right changing your OS. I'm not one of these people.

The game also seems to have overshot it's system requirements a bit since it's been shown that it can be run on just 4GB of RAM and with a lower CPU/GPU so that's also not an excuse for not being able to start it up.(Mind you I said it CAN be run on a subpar system. Let's not go into HOW it's running. :p)

Bugthesda never fail to provide such entertaining features.

I never buy games in the launch day. Or month. Or semester. Or ever in the case of a certain Batman game.

thanks, I'll have to remember that later on if I see that and triggers a memory, I nearly did the same thing with that armor, I thought it was a protectron or something right when I was running by.

(due to the random encounters and random mines, I pretty much spam "Q" when I'm stealthing around new territory, so it caught me by surprise when I first went by it and it didn't get picked up by VATS)

Yeah you can come across various suits all over the wasteland. A trick to keep them out of your power armor might be to make sure you remove the fusion cores from it when you exit. I'm not sure if this will effect NPC's or not, but I recall getting out of a suit once during a combat situation, and a raider tried to get in it. I left the core in it, so that might be why he went for it. Since then I've always removed the cores when I exit the suit, and nobody else has ever attempted to enter it. Might be coincidence, might not. *shrugs*

I was just there. Perhaps this should say "intermittent bug" instead.

Remember last month when they said the game was ready for release? We all had a good laugh at that.
There's a difference between "ready" and "playable".

OT; I know we all like to have a good laugh at Bethesda's "Quality Assurance" department. But I think we need to cut Jose the Janitor some slack. They never tell him the games are in English.

This is Marcy Long who somehow crawled in my Power Armour. Every time I try to talk with her my character says "I need you to get out of your Power Armour." Of course, she never does. The Slenderman syndrome has since gone away but there's still some oddities to her walking animations. The dialogue is still the same too.

So now I can't get in my Power Armour because she won't leave it. Now, I don't like using it that much, but there's some occasions where it's both fitting and relatively necessary.
your image doesnt load but i think i know what you mean. its possible to simulate this bug with the maxed out perk for CHarisma lvl 10 (the one that lets you give commands to NPCs, forgot the name).

You can actually get a new power armor easily. Even force her to quit that power armor too. Heres how: Have high enough sneaking skill to pickpocket a NPC without getting caught. Pickpocket the power Core from the power armor the NPC is wearing. this will force the NPC to leave the power armor as it no longer has power. you can now reinstall the power core and enter the armor. You can do this with any NPC thats wearing power armor, so it should work with your Marcy as well. I know one guy has a lineup of 8 power armors in his back yard like that.

Turns out anagram of Bethesda is Beta shed.
that explains so much....

but no, seriuosly, the bugs we see here were around for a decade, its not so much a beta as they are just using a horrible engine. you want a beta shed thats Ubisoft. it launches with tons of bugs but they are mostly caused by Ubisoft using experimental technology and being "early adopters". A lot of tech that caused problems for Ubisoft games couple years back became industry standards nowadays, now that the bugs got ironed out. Its quite amazing how much stuff Ubisoft actually pioneered and got shat on for that.

Hmm... my game has randomly crashed to desktop twice after long sessions during my 83 hours of play but I've pretty much explored the whole of the North and never crashed near Monsignor Plaza. Though I'm having more problems with getting stuck in World Geometry in Power Armour due to the "extra" height you have whilst crouching and wearing a set and the extended invisible walls around objects. Also extremely dumb companion AI, lifts leaving "ghost" objects of their sides floating in mid air and geometry either literally fighting with each other or existing in areas where they shouldn't and obscuring the ground completely.

Well, I keep running into tons of bugs. I keep uploading them to Youtube too. I found a bug in a few textures around the game that is the same one from the opening haven in vanilla VTMB. That wall flicker. It's in a few static places. Also Vertibirds have a very high crash rate.
For the game, or for Vertibirds in general?
To be fair the game only crashed once on me so far.
