The only thing here that made me laugh was seeing Pedobear in hell.. but thats a pretty exhausted internet meme that I'm not sure many people will get.

Other than that... I still haven't found anything redeemable about this series.
To anyone that says that this show has been getting better or thinks that it's actually "pretty good now", I ask you to consider this question..

If this show were cancelled today and removed from the site completely, would you miss it? In fact, would you even really notice or care?

How you answer that question will determine if it has really grown as much as some of you swear it has.

Somebody at the Escapist must dislike Mormons, must be those weird underwear bits that have you hatin'.
Since when did "not affiliated" translate into "we hate"?
Kinda came off that way when "Mormonism" was listed with such symptoms as "death, seizure, stroke, torture, illegal immigration, or disrupted bowel..." Unless the staff enjoys those things.

Don't get me wrong, I'm agnostic. But when a joke includes Mormons and Satanists but excludes other, more mainstream Christian faiths such as Catholicism seems to show you have a bone to pick with that particular faith.

Very amusing. Great music during the Satan's Retrievers part. And I couldn't stop laughing after Pedobear was frozen in ice. The part after that was... rather odd. But funny nonetheless.
EDIT: just watched the after credits part, man HILARIOUS.

Well I officially like Roger more than Chet.
As for the after the credit scenes, a reference that was creepy when Family Guy did it.

Over all good job, I'm really beginning to love the series(to bad you will always have to settle for third for Unskippable and ZP were here first)

Well one of the girls in the James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only was a tranny, or at least once a man so, who's to say there aren't some Booth Babes who are the same?

Also shame on those who don't know that that reference is actually of Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs.
Huh. Interesting about the bond girl thing.

As for buffalo bill, I know that reference, much as I wish I didn't. -_-

I do find it awkward watching these kind of things without taking it personally.
Especially considering how easy it is to get things confused.

A transvestite is NOT the same thing as a transsexual; They're motivated by quite different issues, and it's unhelpful to everyone involved to confuse the two.

A transvestite is a man who likes dressing in women's clothing. A cross-dresser, essentially, though even that has slightly different implications.

A transsexual is a person (could be a man OR woman, originally), who believes they are/should be a member of the opposite gender. In most cases, the goal or desire of a transsexual is to be as close as it is possible to their chosen gender. (Ie. Under ideal circumstances, they would be indistinguishable from someone born that way.)

In any event, judging from this, I'd lean towards the character here being a transvestite.
But you can never really be sure in reality, and with a character like this, I doubt anyone even thought about it beyond the usual joke...

Clerks reference! I think this show might be getting better.
Clerks reference?
This:
And that is a reference to 'Silence of the Lambs'. Lol.

But seriously, a SOTL/Clerks reference AND Pedobear. This show's definitely getting better.

That reference at the end actually completely fit given the character and the connection to Silence of the Lambs. For those that only saw Clerks 2, I can probably see why you are confused. Oh yes, and Bob's reaction to it was priceless.

Also, did anyone else notice that by pausing on the disclaimer screen for the trailer, one of the disclaimers said that they were not responsible for acts of "Stanism" instead of "Satanism"?

Haha, so we have transvestites, ass-sniffing, Pedobear, and porn in this one, judging from the comments section alone.

Quality stuff.

You are getting WAY too defensive over this cartoon. All of those things are there...are you just ignorantly choosing to ignore it?

The very last scene of the episode involved the character looking at pornography. The undressing of the character at the end is like softcore bestiality. There is LITERALLY a furry transvestite in the video! Were we not watching the same thing?? The booth ***** was a transvestite!

That being said, I find none of these things offensive. Those parts were actually pretty funny (if not mildly disturbing...although even if they WEREN'T dogs I'd find it mildly disturbing). I'd be willing to listen to your argument if it made any sense. It's like you didn't even watch this video...your argument is COMPLETELY valid for any of the other GameDogs episode. Except this one.
You act as if this were to be taken seriously as life itself, it's a cartoon. A simple cartoon that you have the right not to like, however calling "soft porn"??? Really? My former bosses would LOVE to have a word with you about what is and isn't porn then, they could've made ALLOT more money than they did.
Hahaha...I'm not taking it seriously...you seem to be though. I'm just stating facts. I'd love to see the office that you work in where a transvestite taking of his/her clothes and askinig "Do you wanna hump me?" isn't soft porn. Again, I'm NOT saying I hate it. I never did. I'm just calling it as I see it. I'm not talking about the whole series. Just one part in this one episode. I mean seriously, I would think even the creator of the video would say it was imitating soft porn. That was the JOKE.

I had to make an account just to reply to this episode. Im not a professional reviewer or critic, but i do have some things to say about the series. First of all, the first few episodes.... they were ok, i did like the dnd references, because it was a starting place, something to get the intended audience into the show, even if it wasnt done very well. The next few episodes just started to dissapoint, and ill refer to the people here, in this episode saying "Oh i loved that reference, this show is on the road to better horizons."

I have to disagree, when a show is made up of alot of other references, it throws originality out the window, and lets the creators think of who they are going to rip off next, i can see this show slowly going down to a crawl and going nowhere shouting OVER 9000 and LEEROY JENKINS at eachother for about 5 minutes. I want to say this episode was a let down, a big let down. The start, i was hoping things were getting better, it started out mildly funny, setting the story for this week. Then the booth *****, ok, for a few seconds that was funny, but then it was killed by mr yee, or whatever his name is.

Dont try overlong jokes, especially with how you did it. Im a furry, and even that disturbed me, and just wasnt funny at the end of the joke. The revealing his male part was more of a desperate attempt for crude laughs, but if it were a female, that might have been funnier. The end... Well, what can i say about that, disturbing to even a furry, though the only way this episode could have been redeemed was the look on bobs face, that was the only good thing about this episode. Throw the references out the window and come up with some originality, like the satan's retrievers, thats something going for you, build on the game, not on lame jokes trying to cater to the mentally handicapped who watch this show.

Wow, just...wow. That kind of blew my mind a little.

I like Gary's intro. Like "Collarseum"...cute touches. And nice to see them really moving along and getting somewhere outside of their workspace, too. Poor Roger, again--what's he gonna have to do to eventually get through to Chet? Anyway, that's a most highly intriguing game trailer there. OMG Satan killed a penguin. ;_; Lotta thought obviously went into that lengthy disclaimer thing, which was funny from what I read of it.

Hm...where was Beth, anyway?
Well, the whole booth ***** thing was pretty amazing. (Among my first thoughts was, "Wow, I have a shirt rather similar to hers..." I mean, his.) Mr. Yee. Holy moly, Mr. Pervy Yee. "Stimulating...arousing? Happy things!" "Can I lick your face?" No, I couldn't tell at all that he'd been drinking. xD;;; Or was definitely on something. (Which the creators might also have been whilst making this ep!) And of course the majorly awkward butt-sniffage that went on forever and the "you're not really female" revelation...umm, good stuff! >;-3

Hold on a second though, are you telling me there've been little clips after the credits on ALL the videos and this is just the first time I happened to watch all the way through?! Oy vey. Well, at any rate, POOR POOR BOB is all I have to say. Holy gee that was funny in a slightly disturbing (not necessarily a bad thing) way.
Overall, certainly among the best episodes thus far!

......it was not imitating soft-core porn. It was imitating a video that you have not seen and assume that it was soft-core porn because you have not seen said video.

This episode really put me off...
Well, not all the humor- the scrolling text and the "sam and max collarseum" was cute, but the whole thing got turned into awkward sexual tension at the rear-sniffing.
I do prefer more friendly humor than most people, yes, but I personally like it a lot more when people getting backstabbed by karma for being a jerk.
Comedy tends to polarize characters, and there is deifinitely a sort of conflict established between the two protagonists. Either emphasize the party boy/hard worker duality or dissolve it; I feel awkward not knowing whether I should be empathizing with someone or not.

Like many others, I'm just going to throw in my two cents for what it matters.

Interesting episode, I had a good but mildly hesitant laugh. This episode did what not many others have done: include a plethora of references. I had a feeling this was bound to happen in order to appeal to an audience. Prior episodes had a sense of originality, but there were some who probably disliked it. Adding popular culture references and internet memes has its benefits and drawbacks, and from what I?ve read so far, generates mixed audience reception. Then again, you cannot satisfy everyone.

It seems Game Dogs will have to make a choice in the near future: will it succumb to popular references as a source of its humour, or utilize the creator?s own jokes with an occasional vague reference? Although this is an unfair comparison, if we look at XKCD or Zero Punctuation for example, they have a mix of original wit and an occasional meme with a twist. Perhaps Game Dogs could benefit with original humour, and more subtle references.

Tl; dr version: Game Dogs is promising; it just needs to choose who they will target as their primary audience: geeks, gamers, console ?gamers?, furries, computer enthusiast, Satanists etc. Also making wise choices of where and when to use popular references wouldn?t hurt.

LOL, the Pedobear reference at the start was really funny. seems to me that the show has gotten a lot better with time. Lets hope they can continue.
