Gotta admit, that bit with Bob had me cracking up.

Okay, this isn't a comedy on game design. This isn't even a parody. This is straight-up insulting. Especially the "idea dog" bit.

People like me have to go through quite a bit to get anywhere in the video game industry, and it doesn't help that this show is butchering all of this and simplifying our jobs in a weak attempt at humor. And is the furry thing necessary?

I mean, that would be like if I gathered a bunch of friends together and made a web series on how editors of The Escapist just sit around reposting other peoples game-related news blogs while one of them just records himself nitpicking video games and editing out the pauses when he breathes, and titled the whole project "Editorial Kittens".

But since I'm just a poster - and I'm pretty sure this show is under contract - nothing I say is going to change the fact that this travesty will continue. The least I can do is shy all my friends away from this one.

I won't be watching these again in the future, that's for sure.
Cartoons about humanoid dogs are serious buisnes.

I would not. Believe it or not, this is actually more tolerable
Yey another polarizing show. Albeit one with better animation, jokes, a larger preestablished fan base and a higher ratio of jokes to run time. The jokes that were in this were not funny to me, the fan base is not there yet to have "boring" episodes. And I liked Unforgotten Realms. It brought me to this site. Once here, I watched essenstially every other video series and found that I liked it. Until Apocolypse Lane that is. And even then, it's at least possible to see that it is funny to a seperate audience from oneself. In other words, it isn't bad. This show just strikes me as bad. (Although as I said in my other posts, still avereage by Youtube standards.) If the next episode isn't dramaticallly better, I hope this gets canceled so a different show can have a chance.
Alright, I see what you mean, and I respect that. But Unforgotten Realms was just not funny to me, and seemed like it tried too hard to be random and funny, and sir schmoopy was NOT funny however you looked at him, even in the sense of a parody.

Ehhhhhh. I really really want to like this one, and there is untapped potential, but it just isn't being tapped. I'll give it a few more trys.

Perhaps this is the reverse of Unforgotten Realms, where it starts out really weak but gets really good at the end...

As much as I'm trying to like this, it's really not working. I preferred the pilot, more jokes. Not all good granted but atleast that was trying. I hope this'll get better.

Also none of the characters minus Gary seem to emote properly, even when you can tell they're pissed off they still have the same facial expressions. I realise animation is hard but come on, this is just flat out lazy.

It's nice that there's a story now. However it still isn't actually funny. At all. Didn't laugh or even smile once.

I'll hang in there for another couple of episodes...

And I can respect your opinion. Hell, I know people who hate URealms. (My brother for one.) I just think that even from the point of veiw of someone who doesn't like it, you can see how others might like it. (Like I said with Apocolypse Lane.) I don't know, I have always found Schmoopy funny, so... Whatever though, that is neither here nor there.

Towards the end it got remotely almost interesting. The delivery is as important as the material. Even if you change the material, if you still do slow and choppy voice overs that don't flow, you'd need material exponentially better than this to hold my attention.
This is constructive criticism. This series could be good.

You have far too much time on your hands.

On topic I think is a bit of a non-starter, the animation is bad and the jokes just aren't funny, think I may have had the corners of my mouth move slightly... I'l watch a couple more in case it gets better - I thought Apocalypse Lane was weak to begin with, now it's my favourite thing on the Escapist - but as someone else said, 3 strikes and I'm out and you've had 2 already...

Sorry, but this really isn't working.

It's just not very funny, the characters aren't very likable, and the terrible way you animate mouths drives me crazy. Seriously, mouths don't work by just moving the jaw up and down.

It was better than the first one. I did laugh this time at the "ripping people off for a living" joke.

A resounding "Meh" from me. Couldn't finish the first episode; finished this one. I "liked" it a bit better than the first. Needs better writing. Also, needs better writing.

Why didn't they just rip off 'A Dog's Life' or 'Okami'?
Ah, this show could use a little more conflict. How about a British cat in a Trilby hat who makes life rough for the GameDogs with his ridiculously high standards and snarky comments?
Agreed.

Exactly, I want a show that I can point out people I know and laugh about it. I liked the movie Office Space, because I knew people like that.

It is meh. Not good plot or script or voice-acting. That's what I think

Ok...this show is just terrible..TERRIBLE! Why does he say everything twice...TWICE?!

Time to put this dog to sleep, gary (aka the cat from apocalypse lane, since voice acting isnt his strength) goes first and not with a needle...sledgehammer. Im done.
I agree. I'm already "tolerating" one meagre show in the form of Apocalypse Lane - it's not great, but it has funny moments and it's entertaining enough to keep me coming back, despite the crappy voice acting and the wierd way that half the people sort of laugh when they're angry (seriously, how many times does the cat laugh-talk a line?) but since this looks like more of the same but blander, I'm giving this a miss.

The angry dog is blatantly the cat from Apocalypse Lane, and even Cuddles was never that funny. It's clear that you wan't to achieve that sort of angry person comedy, like Dr. Cox from Scrubs or Tucker from The Thick of It (youtube it) but you're missing the boat entirely and barking down the wrong alley-tree. It's not enough to make him a nasty person, he has to be FUNNY about it too.

Ditch this while you still can and do something funny. Seriously, watch Zero Punctuation, then watch this, and ask yourself which writer has a good sense of humour.

I'm trying to like it, but still failing miserably. Rule #1 if the jokes aren't funny with people making all the characters dogs will not help. I do really like the idea of the office meets the video game world. That could be really funny of the intricacies and disconnect with the management staff and the workers, maybe drama between the graphic design team and the writers, I dunno. There is something there. But game dogs, guys, the best part is the opening theme.

I watched this with the vain hope that I would hate this series less.

You guys are just set on making this harder and harder to like, aren't you? You even missed the goddamn Zelda joke- are you serious?

Still pathetic. Still painfully mediocre animation and little to no attempt at humour. How is giving the nerdy dog a sword and a predictable line funny again?
