Portal.

You wake up. Wonderful, I'm a test subject and there's only three things in my room. My bed, a toilet, and a radio that just plays the same 20 second tune over, and over, and over, and over again. Oh let's not forget the nice big office window looking down at my cell so some pervert can watch me sleep, shit, and piss.

The only videogame universe I wouldn't be too perturbed waking up in is that of Viva Pinata. Just about everywhere else has an entirely horrifying secret somewhere, or contains a large chance of a horrible horrible death.

Well, besides the obvious ones like L4D or Silent Hill, I would hate to live in the world of Final Fantasy 7. The world there constantly gets screwed up. Crisis Core, Final Fantasy itself, Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus all have something world shattering happen. No thank you, I ll pass.

Oh, and every of course, to be part of any UFO-Game (Enemy Unknown, Terror from the deep) would be very unpleasant.

Silent Hill, the first time that was said this thread should have just ended or something as Silent Hil is by far the worst place imaginable.

Final Fantasy worlds. I like the fact that I can currently go for a crap without being assaulted three times on my way to the bathroom. Though earning XP for a particularly valiant poo would be nice... that way, other people could witness the change in my character after such events... as opposed to me just loudly telling them about it when we're in the supermarket.

I would hate living in the UAC facility in Doom 3... Hardly any lights, demons popping out and killing you, people going crazy, and people turning into big demon things. It doesn't sound too nice to be in it.

In Fable(2) Albion.....seriously you would first start like yeh this seems awsome then do some quests become a great hero......you finish every single danm thing then you kill everyone you see living in that single world then no one would be alive so you will try to suicide but you cant....so you keep doing it until you give up and run around the whole game gathering any enemie that sees you then let them kill you.......so their

also in any other game that you get killed in anyway......

I don't think I'd like to live in any of them particularly, even Pinata Island, although admittedly more habitable, has evil lurking about.

But specifically, aside from the obvious (most fps and rpg titles), this thread made me remember a game my sister used to play for hours on end when we were younger...

Fallout 3. The Raiders, Monsters, and Slavers would have me by nightfall.
As a local DC resident, I have to sadly say that Fallout's DC and today's DC are basically the same. You cant walk around at night without stumbling across real raiders and monsters. And thats why I moved to Maryland.

I'd love to be in any game world, even better is an uber-world that consists of every single game world that has been devised so far. Therefore I can safely say there's no game world I wouldn't want to find myself in.
