Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on PS2. *blush* Its like a really linear Legend of Zelda. Really!

Crysis: Open environment, smart enemy, the feeling of being a badass as you hide in the brush and pick off soldiers one by one on Delta difficulty. What's not to love?

Army of Two, and, I absolutely love the new Prince of Persia, more even than Sands of Time. There. I admitted it.

..Bloody old Prince fanboys.. :p

EDIT: Oh, and Harry Potter Quidditch. I know, right?

The bard's tale... I know, shameful.

Edit: I could have added Chocobo Tales but I dont really enjoy playing the game as a whole... just part of it.

While a lot of people outside the Sonic fanbase hate Sonic Unleashed, I don't remember Sonic Adventure 2 being hated, they just think it's inferior to the first one (which is funny because I've seen a lot of people inside the fanbase call it the best 3D Sonic game).

Super Mario Sunshine. While I know a decent amount of people who like that game, it gets so much hate compared to the other Mario games (I've seen people say that the Mario Party series is better than Sunshine).

I loved SA2! Hated Unleashed, but that game was great! Also, I didn't think Red Steel was horrible.

Edit: Luigi's Mansion as well. Many people seem to hate that game.

Oh, I forgot Threads of Fate! Great action/platformer for PS1 that was packed in with Chrono Cross and Legend of Mana (and thus overshadowed). I love it though, such a great game.

why are people talking about games with a metacritic average of 90+ under the pretence that "everyone else hates" them?

in terms of games which were actually received poorly, I'd say that I "love" Enchanted Arms, Clock Tower 3, Rule of Rose & all the Dynasty Warriors games.
Because the internet is full of hipsters, escapist included, that skew the results of people who spend alot of time online. Not many of my IRL friend game much. And my only exposer to gaming "culture" as it were has been over the internet. What was that? Halo's popular? Could've fooled me. Half-life, now that's some mainstream shit right there.

I got an anniversary edition of the original Final Fantasy for the PSP, and I haven't seen any ratings of it. It wasn't the best game ever, but how could it be? I enjoyed it, if only because I got the satisfaction of knowing that my team was the most powerful in the game's world.

Also, honorable mention goes to Psychonauts, because it had such bad sales. However, I haven't known many gamers who hated it and I thought it was great.

Mine would be Devil Kings, which, for those who don't know about it, is the Spaghetti Western equivalent of the Dinasty Warriors series. It is even worst since Devil Kings is the butchered version of Sengoku Basara, which you have a higher chance of knowing about even thought none of the sequels came overseas.

In difference to other people on this site, I loved the original Halo. In difference to people I know, I don't think I love a game that everyone else I know hates.

EDIT: since people are responding, I think I'm safe to say that mine is FFX-2.
Amen. An admittedly Girly RPG but definitely better than the original. I prefer the "pretty-much-everything" system over whatever it is in FFX.
Meanwhile, back in my town; MOON PATROL!!!!!! Also Jet Set Radio Future, but that doesn't fit the requirement anymore because I'm the umpth person to mention it.
