WoW Dungeon, DPS is outtanking the tanker, The mage is out DPS'ing the DPS'ers. The Healer is dead all the time ... And this was the first group I was able to find for that particular dungeon for days (literally) It took us five hours and seven tries for one lousy little dungeon.
Such a time sink and very little is accomplished. Especially trying to break in a lvl 80 at the moment, everyone has epics making it extremely hard to do anything worth while. Battlegrounds: people all have epics and are too strong. Dungeons and raids: don't have good enough gear... etc
The WoW quest line has some pretty epic moments, like some cutscenes even, and it has some lulz worthy easter eggs and such. But yeh, after 80 it's a total time waster. It could be fun to check out other races, for their side of the story, but for the rest.

When a poorly coded game keeps crashing or doing odd things.
I'm looking at you Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines.
Still a great game though.
Sure you do,but just in case you don't know; there is a pretty good unofficial patch available for that game. Makes it run pretty reliably if you ever feel like playing it again, and why wouldn't you, it's an amazing game.

Can't be arsed to google it now, but it's out there.

When the blue screen of death died on my pc. It started and randomly closed saying you chose to end this non-responsive program and it completely f***ed with my computer.

My friend getting his xbox on the same christmas day as I got my PS3, it was up north so it was extremely hot, and his 360 started whirring, then smoking, then sparking and eventually died. He looked across the road to my place to see me on COD4 with my PS3 not so much as making an audible sound.
He was in true gamer hell.

VTM:Bloodlines is not nearly as bad with the community patch, but yeah I remember playing that game without even the final official patch and my god... perhaps the single most unstable game I have ever played. So good, so amazing, so well told... such bad bad bad code.

Even to this day the sound doesn't correctly sync up in cutsceens, and the audio stutters a little when Zooming in on an NPC when you first talk to them. Those fun little quirks are with it forever.

I'm a pc gamer. Happens sometimes to myself. Quicksave, mods, and a whole lot of other things make it worth it though.

Game crashes are rare though.

My gamer hell has to be this, I was playing the first pokemon game(Blue) had finished off all the elite four and was up against the final guy, I'd, by some mircale, manged to beat him with hardly any healing items left but then it happen. My gmaboy froze completely and it somehow ersaed the whole bloody game, meaning that I would have to start from square one. This caused the younger me to swear and scream.

Gamer hell is anytime the mechanics of a came conspire to piss you off and fuck you over, through no fault of your own... therefore denying you anything resembling fun

Like:

Meteor bits in dead Space

Escort missions in GTA4

The toxic tunnel in Half Life 2

The whole lot of Red Ninja: End of Honour
You forgot the Strider battle at the end of Episode 2. ON EASY. That was my moment of gaming hell <_<

I've seen it. It does add a few items but I found that it does occasionally crash, especially when choosing character history.

Christmas 2004, I got WoW, Halo 1, and a new original Xbox... My copy of WoW did not come with an activation key, Halo was still in the anti-theft nearly-impossible-to-open ultra case, and the sound on the Xbox didn't work.

BEST BUY!!!!!!

Gamer hell is when someone installs Big Rigs on your computer, puts it in startup, puts a shutdown batch file after the game exe and then locks you out completely, followed by removing CD drive and welding the case shut. Everytime you start your computer, only thing you can do is play Big Rigs, after you exit, the computer shuts down.

Gamer Hell is unholy trinity of the Yellow Light of Doom, the Red Ring of Death and the Broken Wii Remote.
Not true because there are others that can be added to this list so its not a trinity! Theres Blue Screen of Death that came WAY Before RRoD.. And many more that i choose not to remember due to horrible memories that scared my child hood!

My own Personal one involves that god-damn pelican form Spyro 2 that had you collect 50 gears. It makes me fail and have to constantly hear "Trouble with the Trolley 'eh.
